A Bit of Advice

"Professor, I was wondering, could I ask you something?"

"Of course, Draco. Anything."

"You know, I would ask my father, but he doesn't like talking about things like this."

"I understand. Naturally, your father is a busy man."

"Yeah, he's trying to convince Fudge to legalize that potion we were talking about before."

"I see. Is that what you wanted to ask me about?"

"No. It's..." he knew full well that the potions master had never married. How was he supposed to ask?

"More like advice?"

"Yeah. To be frank, I like a girl who's much too good for me. She'd never give me the time of day, and I wouldn't blame her, but I feel like I should do something, because otherwise, I won't have done anything, and... I'm probably not making much sense. You probably don't even know what I'm talking about."

He did. "Just go for it."

"Pardon?"

"Just go for it, Draco. Tell her how you feel." Sometimes things like that didn't work out. But Draco was smarter than he'd been, and he had many more people in his life who were willing to help him out. Maybe it could work.

As Draco headed for the door, the potions master stopped him.

"Just out of curiosity, who is this lucky girl?"

"Hermione Granger."

Were they always Gryffindors?

Authors Note: I just sort of felt like writing this, and I figured I didn't need to put to much in, though I apologize for the length. Thanks so much for reading, reviews are of course appreciated as well. Have a lovely day! :)
