A/N: This is a short drabbleish one shot I made in an attempt to get my ikarishipping-loving friend to forgive me. Sorry Kitty-chan!…. It work too, haha.
Dawn giggled at the unsuspecting couple underneath the mistletoe. The girl got bright red as the boy looked up, just realizing the predicament he was in. As it turns out, the Nurse Joy here in Vielstone was very pushy about her traditions, including mistletoe. The normal inhabitants of Vielstone knew better than to walk into the Pokemon Center with a partner, but that still left the various travelers that had no clue, to be victimized. Now that Dawn was traveling through Sinnoh again, she paused at Vielstone because of the upcoming snowstorm warning and the various festivities held here. It was December 20th. But, back to the present couple, who Nurse Joy and the few people in the lobby were now urging to kiss. The girl leaned over quickly and placed a quick kiss on the boy's cheek, making him turn almost as red as the girl.
Dawn smiled lightly, but Nurse Joy wasn't satisfied.
"Oh! Come on! A real kiss!" she exclaimed. Soon enough, everyone started chanting 'Real Kiss! Real Kiss!' Then, so fast that if you blinked, you would have missed it, the boy swooped down to the girl's level and pecked her lips softly. Everyone cheered as they blushed and continued walking in.
After watching a few more couples getting embarrassed, Dawn decided that she had slacked off enough and it was time to go practice for the next contest. She got up and walked through the door, but was stopped by Nurse Joy.
"Wait! Hold on!" Nurse Joy called joyfully to Dawn. Dawn froze, the only time she did that was when... She looked to her right, and sighed. Someone had come in the door the same time she went out of it.
"Oh dear god..." she heard the boy mutter. Dawn slowly started getting red with embarrassment.
it was funny to watch it happen to other people, but not so funny when it happened to her.
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" Nurse Joy started to chant, the small crowd eventually joining in, making Dawn's embarrassment grow. She slowly turned around, getting her first look at the boy, who she immediately recognized. A/N: Wonder who it could be....?
"She won't let us leave until we kiss." Dawn blurted. The boy's eyes showed the same surprise that she felt. "Paul?" she asked, verifying her guess.
"Troublesome." Paul acknowledged, and before she could yell a retort at him, he moved closer and smoothly slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her into a kiss. Dawn let out the equivalent to a squeak of surprise, before Paul pulled away.
"Aww!" the crowd cooed. Paul pushed away towards the Nurse Joy, so he could heal his pokemon, Dawn guessed. Dawn herself, well, fist thing she did was get out of the doorway before she would be forced to kiss someone else. She started heading to a training area, even though she knew she wouldn't be getting any work done. Maybe there are some benefits to being stuck under the mistletoe. Dawn thought to herself, giggling slightly.
