A pair of plum colored ears perked up from a sixth grader's head, his eyes held the color of a dark cloud and his breath was unsteady. The clouds were making the afternoon look like dusk and the class was not learning anything important. Soon the droplets of the sky fell, or as some called it, the Dead's Tears. The rain made him tired, yet he felt a secure sense of safety when it rained, he didn't know why. Ritsuka sighed, and turned his gaze to the idiot, Yuiko, who sat next to him. She was mumbling something about strawberries, but Ritsuka paid no attention to it.

Soon the school day was over, and Yuiko was goofing off and telling him about how her parents when strawberry picking with her yesterday.

He didn't care.

Not even a bit.

He felt as if he shouldn't care about others lives or problems, they weren't his concern, and he didn't feel anything when someone said that their family is in the hospital, he wouldn't care.

He just couldn't.

Only if death was mentioned that he would care, but that was a rare case itself.

He soon saw Soubi waiting for him at the school's gate, and he was smoking. Ritsuka's purple tail flared and he quickly ran over to him.

"What did I tell you about smoking in front of an elementary school!?" He asked his voice was high and nearby birds flew out of their trees, soaring on the wind that brushed across the child's cheek. Ritsuka swiped the cigarette and threw it to the ground, stomping on it with his right foot. "Other students will get the wrong idea and die because of you know!"

"I'm sorry. Please punish me Ritsuka." Soubi, the Fighter Unit of Beloved, insisted.

"No!" Ritsuka bellowed, swinging his hand in front of him. He didn't want to hurt anyone, it wasn't right. Ritsuka was about to turn around, but Soubi grabbed his bicep.

"Are you crying Ritsuka?" Soubi asked, watching water pour down his master's face.

"N-no…" He whispered, his eyes were watery, but the tears finally stopped falling. Soubi just sighed and pulled him into a gentle hug, Ritsuka's eyes going wide, but then slowly closing in relief.

"You don't need to hide anything from me Ritsuka. I love you."
