A/N: Silly fluffy one shot, and as close as I'll get to song fics. I don't own anything. The characters were written by TS Eliot and set to song by AL Webber, the lyrics are from Phineas and Ferb.

It was a lazy day. The children were staring at the television while the parents were in the study doing whatever it was adult humans do in studies. The two cats were stretched out in the kitchen doorway, making sure that they could get in the way with minimal effort.

The smaller cat's ears twitched as he heard music coming from the television and he looked up at it. "What are they watching?"

"I dunno," the larger cat muttered, not bothering to look up. Half his bulk was made up by fur, but even without it he was far larger than his housemate. "This isn't the first song that's come on. Weren't there, like, 3 in the past hour?"

Quaxo listened for a moment.

'I should have known, from how I felt, when we were together.

And even more when we were apart!'

"I feel like this one is special somehow," he muttered, walking a bit closer to the television. Tugger groaned, his relaxation now ruined, and he followed curiously.

You tiptoed in, and you got under my skin!

"That sounds painful," the large tom said with a wince. The tux nudged him playfully.

You snuck your way right into my heart! I put up barriers, to shield my emotions. A wall that you could never break apart!

"You would think so," he hissed, an amused smile on his face.

Tugger looked over at him, confused, "You never struck me as a romantic type. What's up with this song?"

"I don't know," the tux replied with a shrug. It was true that he was never interested in romance. "There's just something about it that I really like."

They both listened in silence for a moment, Tugger slowly getting the appeal and Quaxo just enjoying it.

Like a ninja of love, repelling down from above!

You snuck your way right into my heart!

"What are you waiting for?" another voice asked on the TV, interrupting Tugger as he was about to comment on the song. "Kiss her!"

The two toms exchanged a glance at this. After a beat, Quaxo decided to obey the TV's command and planted a kiss on Tugger's mouth before sitting back, content with himself.

"What the heck was that for?!" Tugger demanded, wiping his lips and spitting in disgust.

"I wasn't going to wait and let you decide I was the queen," he replied with a shrug. Tugger sincerely wished that wasn't exactly what he had been about to do so he could protest.
