Hey all. Here's a Tetractys that I wrote. A Tetractys is a five line poem. Each line adds one syllable until the last stanza which has ten syllables. They can be written with more than one verse, but each subsequent verse must invert the syllable count. There is no limit to the number of verses.

I realise this is extremely similar to my other SH poem "Why Should I Care?" but this is what popped in my head when I decided to experiment with this style in the SH fandom.

The

needle

pierced his arm

drugs in his veins.

How can I cure him of his addiction?

That brilliant mind of his wasting away.

I stand helpless

unable

to stop

it.

I

wish I

could help him

to help himself

But he is in far too deep to be saved.

There is nothing I can do for him now

except watch him

as he lets

himself

die.
