Well FINALLY here's the final chapter in this story I hope you enjoy! Thank you to all who continued to read throughout my serious writers block. Overall I think it was really quite successful! Thanks again!

Selina bent over the edge and watched the traffic go by far below her. She had made a quick pit stop at her apartment as the sun had begun to rise, to change into street clothes. The last thing she needed was to be spotted by somebody and get reported to the police, just wearing her costume was against the terms of her parole.

It had already been a couple hours since she'd arrived and the sun was half way up. She thought for sure with it lightening up that she would see him coming but he still managed to sneak up on her. Batman melted out of the shadow of the stair well, just as she turned around causing her to nearly tumble backwards over the side and she would have had he not caught her arm.

"Careful." He said as he steadied her. He was smiling at her but she noticed him grimace as he reached for her.

"What did I tell you about sneaking up on me?" She huffed. He continued to smile but said nothing. "I was starting to wonder if you weren't coming."

"It took a while to get things sorted out. Did you get any information off of the computers in the house?"

Selina smiled and held up the USB. "Yup I copied everything on their computer before I left."

He took it from her and stuck it into his belt. "I took a copy from their computers in the bunker also. So this may well be the same information that I already have but it may be different, I suppose I'll find out. Thank you though."

Selina nodded. "So is this all done now?"

Batman sighed and shook his head. "No, not by a long shot. We only stalled their plans. We believe we did catch their leader and I wiped their network. If what they claim is true, they have sects in several major cities across the planet. They must have a back-up plan. It might take months, maybe years to put an end to all this."

"So what now, handsome?" She crossed her arms as a strong breeze whipped across the roof top.

"For you, nothing. Go back to work and pretend nothing has happened. And I advise you to stay off the rooftops for a while." Batman shifted like he was uncomfortable.

"But…" Batman shook his head and cut her off.

"Not here Selina. Go home, get some sleep. I know that's what I plan to do now. If you wish to discuss the matter further, come see me later on." Suddenly a large shadow appeared overhead.

When she looked up, she saw nothing but clear sky. When she looked down again, Batman was smiling again as he pressed a button on his belt. She looked up once more and suddenly she could see the inside of his plane. She gave him a pouty face.

"Why do you get all the cool toys?"

He just gave her a wink as he shot his grapple into the cockpit and disappeared into his plane.

Selina sighed as the hot water poured over her body. It really hadn't been that long since she'd been home, only a couple of days but it's certainly felt a lot longer. As the water washed away all the dirt and grime, she began to feel more and more like a civilized human being again.

When she was done she threw on a pair of pajamas and collapsed on to her sofa. Isis immediately jumped on to her lap and cried loudly into her face. Selina smiled and stroked Isis' head. "Are you angry with me miss kitty, hmm? I'm sorry darling, give me a moment and I'll make both of us something to eat!"

Isis purred loudly as she bumped her head against Selina's hand. After a few minutes, she finally got to her feet and walked into the kitchen. She quickly filled Isis' dish up, who attack it with fervor and then made herself a quick and light breakfast. By the time she was done, she could barely stay awake long enough to make it to her bed.

A few hours later Selina was startled wake by her alarm. She rolled over and covered her face after smacking her alarm, she so wasn't ready to go back to work. Isis was instantly there purring and bumping her head against Selina trying to get her to move.

"You can't possibly be hungry again, can you miss kitty?" Selina sat up and gave Isis a good rub down. Then she went to have a shower then got ready for work. Just as she grabbed her car keys from the table by the door, she remembered that she had booked the week off.

"Dammit!" Selina put her back to the door and slumped to the ground. "Well what now? I'm already awake!"

She considered going back to bed but there was no way that'd happen. She finally got off the floor and took a more comfortable seat on her couch. Just as she decided to go out for breakfast, her phone in her purse rang. She dug it out and was shocked to see her parole officer's name on its screen.

"Hello?"

"Selina? Oh good you're still with us." Was his reply.

Selina frowned. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means, when I got the notice that you were taking a holiday, I thought you might skipping town. I'm coming over, you better be there."

"I'm sitting on my couch now." Was her peevish response.

"Good, I'm ten feet from your door. See you in a few seconds."

As promised there was a bang at her door seconds later. She opened the door to her profusely sweating parole officer. He wiped some sweat off his brow as he pushed past Selina into the apartment.

"So why'd you take a whole week off? It's not like you can go anywhere." He started snooping around her apartment looking for evidence.

"What, is it against the law for me to take a holiday?" Selina flopped back down on to her couch and glared at the man. Isis jumped on to her lap and watched the man move around the apartment, softly growling the whole time.

"It's like I said. You ain't got no where's to go, so why a whole week? Then there's this thing with your jail buddy getting arrested just last night! Considering the type of people she was working with, maybe you were the one to introduce her to them." He finally stopped and looked at her.

"I have no idea what you are even talking about, let alone who you are talking about. I know a lot of people who were and are in jail." She glared up at him and he bent down to stare her in the face but Isis took a swat at him.

"Ah! Stupid cat." He touched his face, then looked at Selina again. "So you don't know what I'm talking about huh. Then where were you last night?"

"With me." Bruce stepped in looking freshly shaved and dressed. "Sorry, the door was open."

"Bruce?" Selina couldn't get over her shock, she thought that he'd be passed out at home for sure. His eyes looked a little red so she wondered if he'd even gone to sleep yet.

Her parole officer walked up to him and looked him up and down. "And who are you pretty boy?"

Bruce stuck out his hand and smiled. "Bruce Wayne, nice to me you. I am assuming you are her parole officer?"

The man took a step back, obviously shocked at who was standing in front of him. After a moment he shook Bruce's hand. "Yeah, I am. What are you doing hanging out with a felon, Mr. Wayne?"

"You mean Selina? Oh well her and I go way back. I now the Commissioner wants me to stay away from her but everyone deserves another chance. She never killed people or anything. She's not like the Joker or the Penguin. And this is Gotham, it's kind of hard to not know criminals." Bruce came in and sat down beside Selina. Isis immediately went on to his lap and rubbed up against his chest then resumed staring the officer down.

"So you're willing to be her alibi?" He looked a Bruce doubtfully.

"Yes, of course! But is it not the police's job to question Miss Kyle if she was a suspect to a crime?" Bruce was so good at the innocent act! Well Selina was too but apparently she was caught a little off guard.

"I was just making sure she hadn't made a run for it. So why are you here Mr. Wayne? And can anybody else corroborate your story?"

Her parole officer barely showed his face now suddenly he has to be a pain in the ass. Why?

"Oh, could you not tell she that was going somewhere? I was coming to pick her up and take her back to my place to have breakfast together! And of course I have a witness! My butler, Alfred Pennyworth. He was the one whom made us supper of course! That was excellent duck, was it not?" He turned and smiled at her brightly. She was a good liar but Bruce was at a level all his own.

"Oh yes. I'm not generally a fan of duck, but Alfred did a wonderful job! And those potatoes!" Selina gave him a bit of a guilty look. "Oh and I have a confession Bruce, I kind of forgot about breakfast. I'm all dressed up because I was going to work, then I realized I'd booked holidays!" Nothing covered up a lie better than a little bit of the truth.

"What? Really? Well I thought your wardrobe choice was a little strange but I didn't want to say anything." Bruce laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head.

"Yeah, sorry Bruce. I probably had too much wine last night." Selina laughed also then suddenly looked over at her parole officer like she'd just remembered that he was still there. "Oh was there anything else you'd like to ask? I probably should go get changed into something a little more comfortable if I'm going over to Bruce's."

"No." He turned and headed for the door. "Have a pleasant day." He said as walked through the door.

Selina let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks Bruce, you didn't have to do that."

Bruce just nodded his head. "Why don't you get changed, we can talk more back at the manor."

Selina went and quickly changed into more comfortable clothes. When she came back out of her room she found Bruce giving Isis a vigorous face rub with a soft expression on his face.

"I'm starting to wonder if she likes you more than me." Selina said as she grabbed her coat.

Bruce smiled at her but she could see the exhaustion starting to take hold. "Hardly. She just likes me because you like me."

"You sound so confident."

"Of course." He responded. Bruce grimaced as he slowly got to his feet.

"Hey are you ok?" She approached him and touched his arm.

"Never better." He smiled but she could hear the pain in his voice. "Come on lets go."

He led her out of her apartment and down the stairs, acting like he still had energy to burn. Obviously the man had a high pain threshold. He had to, to continue doing what he did day in and day out. As they exited the building she wondered what happened to him between the time they had parted and when they finally met up again. Knowing him, nothing good.

As always he walked up to a beautiful, albeit tame by his standards, car. Selina slid into the passenger side while he slowly got in on the driver's side. She continued to watch him while he started the car and pulled out.

Bruce sighed, "What?"

"Are you sure, you're ok? Maybe I should drive." She smirked slightly at her last statement. She was constantly trying to get him to let her drive his cars, but really there was only one car of his she really wanted to drive and it'd take a lot more trust before he'd let her drive THAT car.

"I'm fine."

"You just don't want to have to get out of the car again and try to sit down again. Judging by the way you're moving, you have at the very least bruised ribs but knowing your luck, they're probably broken."

"Just a few. I'm fine Selina. I had Leslie look at me, nothing serious."

Selina finally stopped staring at Bruce and watched as the city zipped by. After a while Bruce pulled in front of Wayne manor, leaving the car parked outside in front of the front door. Bruce got out and came around and opened the door for her. They then walked up the steps together into the house.

"Have you eaten yet?" He asked as he crossed the lobby.

"Just a light one, I was panicking thinking I was going to be late for work." Selina gave a bit of an embarrassed smile.

Bruce laughed than winced. "Selina the working lady, I still have a hard time seeing it even though I've seen you at work."

"You and I both." Selina laughed also.

Bruce led her into a kitchen and found Alfred and Tim there. Tim sat at a small table eating and working on what Selina assumed was his homework while Alfred was cleaning.

"Are you going to be able to get that done before school?" Bruce asked Tim.

Tim smiled up at Bruce. "Yup I'm almost done."

Bruce ruffled Tim's hair then turned to Alfred. "Could you bring something for us to eat up to my office?"

"Of course, Master Bruce! Is there anything in particular that you would like Miss Kyle?" Alfred smiled at her kindly.

"Whatever you make is fine."

"Very well."

Bruce then led her through a different door. She followed him up a narrow staircase and down two long hallways and finally through a big heavy door into what had to be his office. He had a massive mahogany desk along one wall with various papers scattered across it as well as a laptop. Bookcases lined every inch of wall that wasn't occupied by a door or window. In front of one of the two massive windows, sat a small table with two chairs. Bruce motioned for her to take a seat as he sat on the other side.

Selina took her seat and looked out the window. It had a beautiful view of the forest that surrounded his estate as well as a small view of the cliffs and sea. They both stared out of the window for a while in quiet company. Finally Alfred brought them their breakfast and left them a lone again. Bruce took a sip from his coffee and finally broke their silence.

"So, I promised to speak with you." He took another sip.

"Yeah you did but I didn't expect to hear anything from you until tonight. You don't need to do this yet, you must be tired. It can wait."

Bruce shook his head. "I had planned that originally but I need to speak my mind."

"Ok, then speak your mind." Selina scooped some eggs into her mouth.

Bruce was silent for a moment while he formulated his thought. "I do not want you going out as Catwoman anymore." Bruce held up his hand as Selina started to protest. "Let me finish. I do not think it is wise for you to go running around dressed up as Catwoman even if you are trying to help people. If the police or a witness saw you, you could end up in jail again, no matter what your intention is.

"So I have proposition for you. I will let you join me and work alongside me and the others, otherwise I cannot let you continue." He gave her a very stern Batman-like look.

"That sounds like an ultimatum." She stared him straight in the eye.

"That's because it is. I want to trust you Selina, I really do but you have done this before. I know you are a free spirit and I intend to eventually let you have that freedom but you have to work for it. I will not give you the same restrictions I give Tim and Barbra, you have been breaking the law longer than I have been enforcing it and I recognize that you know what you are doing." Bruce steeple his fingers as he stared at her.

"Ok, but how does that get around people seeing me? You deal a lot with the police."

"Yes I do. The other do not deal with the Commissioner or other officers as much. I am suggesting that you change your identity. New outfit, new name and so on."

Selina smiled, "Well I have a counter proposal."

Bruce raised his eye brows. "Continue."

"I'll do all that you were saying with changing my alter ego and following your lead. In exchange, you've got to give me a chance. I'm pretty sure you haven't really been dating over the last couple of years and I can understand why with such a big secret. Me, I know your secret and I get it but I'm not the desperate kind so if you don't to go out with me then whatever. There are other fish in the sea. You and I have an intense chemistry, you have to admit."

"I have to admit, that's not what I expected you to say." Bruce smiled. "But I think I can handle that. This might be interesting, I've never dated a partner before."

Selina laughed. "You and I are both very focused people, handsome. I think we'll be fine." Selina stood up and bent over the table. Bruce met her half way they kissed. At first it was a light kiss, than it quickly heated up and by the time they parted Selina had ended up in Bruce's lap arms wrapped around his neck.

"This is going to be interesting." She said with her lips just a millimetre a way from his. Then kissed him again.
