Light's POV

I turned the TV on, flipping to any random channel. I need to test out this 'Death Note.' Obviously, it was just a hoax and not real.

...

Still, something in me felt like trying it out. I should test it on someone whose death could be seen right away.

Oh. This guy seems good.

I wrote down the name of the criminal, looking back to the clock. Finally, forty seconds past.

And...

Nothing.

I sighed. Of course it wouldn't work. As I stood and aimed the remote at the Tv, something caught my attention.

My eyes widened. W-what?! It worked! He's dead!

No. This could just be a coincidence. I need to test it, just one more time.

Changing the channel, an interview with Chuck Norris came on.

Perfect.

I wrote down his name, waiting for him to collapse.

Forty seconds...

It didn't work? Why didn't it work? I looked down to the name. I spelt it right. And there's Chuck Norris right on my screen! Still. Alive.

I took the book in my hands, rereading all the rules. This time, I turned to the back cover, checking for any more rules.

Chuck Norris may not be killed using this notebook.

I glared at the rule.

Damn it.
