A/N: This is IsilanaRith's long awaited reward for the Valentine's Day Competition in SephirothsAngels over at deviantArt. Go check out her entry. It rocked.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Isilana," Sephiroth smiled fondly down at her. He then pulled a small bouquet of flowers from behind his back. Some girl in a pink dress was selling them, so he figured, why not?

"Aw, thank you, Seph. Happy Valentine's Day to you, too. But you know, you're a little late," she teased lightly.

"You have no clue how hard it was just to get here. Ever since I've come back from Wutai, I can't go anywhere without someone wanting to talk to me, sign them an autograph, or just shake my hand. My office was crowded with things people have sent. I've even received marriage proposals," he ranted.

"It's okay, sweetie, I know it's hard for you." She smiled up at him, her brown eyes twinkling. "But you are a hero, someone people look up to. A lot of people. I just hope you turned those proposals down..."

Sephiroth actually looked startled. "Of course I did. I eventually just got Angeal and Genesis to go through the items because there was absolutely no way I could keep it all."

"What about Zack?"

"Yes, he got to pick some things, too." Sephiroth had a short flashback of one day when the gifts in his office were piled so high Zack literally dove into them.

"So, did you finally get rid of all of it?"

"Not quite. Reno, fortunately, butted his way in and thus Rude and Tseng received gifts as well."

"Well, I hope you saved something for me," she giggled.

"I wouldn't dream of not saving you something. Here." He reached into one of the pockets of his trench coat and pulled out a single silver chain with two silver, diamond encrusted hearts. The larger heart looked as if it was embracing the smaller one.

"Sephiroth, it's beautiful," she exclaimed as he fastened it around her neck. "You mean, someone actually sent you this?"

"No, not really. I found it in a jewelry store a few days ago. The shop keeper was so pleased to have me in his shop he offered to just give it to me if I would take a picture with him and sign it to hang in his office. I did so and paid him the money anyway. I believed he was going to pass out," Sephiroth said with a chuckle.

Isilana smiled up at him, slightly sad, and when Sephiroth asked her what was wrong, she replied, "I just feel horrible about not getting you anything. You spent all this money on me and I didn't get you a single thing. I feel so terrible." She sniffled a little.

"Isilana," he said seriously, "I love you so much and I wouldn't care if you never gave me anything else ever again. Just to see you smile makes me smile, so please do not cry." He leaned down to give her a light kiss as he wiped the tear from her face. He held her close and whispered, "You've given me what I cherish most."

You treated me like a normal human being. You gave me a chance to be normal.
