Wow so it's been many many years. I am a senior in college. And I feel horrible that I just found out about Google saving my password on chrome for this account, which I previously thought I lost. Anyways, here's another long awaited chapter.

Grandmere just landed the biggest bomb on me. In order for me to be the official legal, and adult princess of Genovia, I have to very legally live there for more than half the year. Going to Sarah Lawrence, and completing that is impossible. I would have to fly back into Genovia every weekend, take no summer classes, and miss every orientation week, just to make the half year mark.
How am I going to get a degree?
Worse, how do I prove to the world that I have been rigorously tested that I have mastered the art of recalling information most people just Google and apply?
I had to rush from Michael's in a hurry to grab a small tofurkey burger at D&V's diner before all the cool NYU film kids crowded the store. (You didn't think I'd stay at the Plaza after finding out my very available, and very near, warm-bodied bf was 6 blocks away from me)
There's only so much ice cream and popcorn does for a sad soul. I needed protein and the smokey flavor of their buns to hustle me into a new paradigm. I've got to get in the Academy of Genovia, the only University in the country, and extremely difficult to get into, seeing as most people just went to the free online and local college to get their degrees.
Seeing as I have no interest in math or science, and I don't want to follow Mr. G's path to teach, my degree in journalism and creative writing were considered "frivolous aristocratic hobbies" hence only offered at the elaborate and extremely expensive A of G. My g.p.a. was decent, a 3.1, and ridiculous hours volunteering locally, then even more abroad. I could get into many places here. But A of G has glass ceilings. A of G's toilets have a robot voice that washes your behind for you. They make the set of the new Star Trek movie Michael makes me watch all the time look outdated. I once had to sign an awfully dusty tome near their gold encrusted ceilings in the library. This was the only part open to the public.
If I were to get into the Academy, I'd have to use Grandmere, and her full nepotism.
