Odd Friendship

Ugh, I forgot to type this one out, well sorta…

Again, this was requested by someone, I think it was Harukachan25, if it was someone else and you are that someone else, please let me know.

Disclaimer: I'm slightly disappointed in myself, sigh.

Odd Friendship

Matthew Williams was driving to the airport to pick up one of his good friends. It was almost one hundred years that they knew each other and the Canadian had his brother to thank for this friendship. The two had met one summer at Alfred's house when Matthew had gone to visit his brother. That was when he had met the European man known as Lithuania. The two of them had taken an immediate liking to each other and had kept in touch while Toris stayed with America.

They hadn't spoken much after Lithuania had returned with Russia, but they had been able to exchange a letter or two every now and then. Matthew had been one of the first to visit Toris once he had regained his independence. They had fallen back into their easy relationship and had kept in touch more frequently than before. Sometimes, they would visit each other and that was why Canada was driving to the airport.

He got there with plenty of time to spare and parked his car. He then walked to where the people waited for their loved ones to arrive and waited. He checked the arrivals panel and noted with satisfaction that the Toris' flight was on time and was scheduled to land shortly. He didn't have much to wait and within ten minutes or so, Canada saw Lithuania walk out and wave at him.

At first, when others had found out of their friendship, they had thought it rather strange and uncalled for, but when they had bothered themselves to take a closer look, they had realized that the two men had similar traits. They were both quiet and did their best to obey the law, they knew more exuberant people that always dragged them into crazy things (America and Poland) and they were often both ignored. It was no wonder they became good friends.

They also both had sports which they were incredibly fond of (one being hockey and the other being basketball) and there was nothing quite like a friendly one on one of either sport between the two of them.

"How are you?" Matthew asked him when they greeted each other.

"Not bad, yourself?" Toris asked back.

"I'm fine, thank you. C'mon let's go, we can catch up in the car." Canada took Lithuania's suitcase even though the older man protested and the two walked out of the airport chatting about this and that like friends would. And just like it always was when they saw each other, they fell into this comfortable routine and no one could deny that it was an odd friendship, but it worked, somehow, and that was all that really mattered.

OWARI

Reviews would certainly cheer me up.
