Chapter I

I am…

I opened my eyes and saw nothing but darkness. I tried to push my way out of that darkness, but some linked metal was holding me back. I cried out for help for what felt like years, but nobody answered… My head was throbbing, and my body aches under my slow movements. Then, a loud clinking of metal filled the air, and as light poured down on me, I felt the endearing presence of… death.

I was dragged by the chains that were constricted around me, dragged into a room. I was blinded by the light, I couldn't see their faces… but I could hear them… clearly.

"Is this the girl? The girl that destroyed her whole village?"

"We can use her! Her power can lead us to the top of the world!"

"This 5 year old girl did that much damage?!"

Whispers erupted at the sight of me… who are these men? What are they going to do with me? Then a door burst open. All of them quieted down. Footsteps were headed towards me, I tilted my head up to see who it is… but his face was obscured by the hood of his cloak.

"What is your name, little girl?" a hand caressed my face…but wait… what is my name?

"You don't want to talk? If you won't talk, more pain will surely come…" the calmly voice threatened.

"I don't know who I am…" I whispered to the cold night.

Then I heard a sigh.

"Tell me, little girl. What do you remember?" the voice asked.

I tried to think though my throbbing head, but all I can hear were the screams… the loud, terrified screams.

"I can remember… the screams." I answered.

"And? What else do you remember?" the voice urged.

"I cant remember anything else!" I shouted. The pain was unendurable. Then I felt a hand slap me.

"Augh!!" I cried.

"Don't you dare shout at me, girl. You don't know who you're talking to!"

I gasped for air. The pain was suffocating me…Where is this pin coming from? Why is this happening to me?

"Anyway, little girl. Do you know that you have incredible abilities that truly amaze us?"

"No… I don't know."

"To name a few, you can use the five main elements. You can go to other dimensions, you control the Death Dimension and you can kill, but you can also bring life back to a body through your judgment on the things that enter the said dimension." The voice whispered in my ear.

I can kill?! I can control death?! Just who am I?... What am I?

"Who are you? Why are you telling me these lies?" I cried out.

And they all laughed maniacally.

"These are not lies, girl, these are facts!" and the same hand slapped my face again.

"And as for your first question, we are the four dukes of this world."

"The dukes of what world?" I asked.

"We are the dukes of secrets and lies, tragedies and despair, power and wealth, and most of all, we are the dukes that you should obey. Little girl, you are the girl of prophecy, you are the key to opening the 7 gates of Heaven and Hell. You are the Enchantress."

…. I am… the girl of prophecy?... the key? …the… Enchantress?

hey guys!i'm back again with another story!! this one is full of riddles and tricks and stuff that i'm sure you'd like(or even hate..but that's up to you.. ^^)
