Alright, I have read through the last few chapters, and have discovered something.

I have come a bloody long way since the last time I worked on this fiction, because I find it to be crappy.

But you all voted for me to work on it, so I shall try my best to fix the hunk of junk you all think I did so well on.

I might also redo a couple of the previous chapters to clean this mess of thoughts I glued together.

If I didn't write it, I wouldn't have read it.

But with it being the one you all voted on, please enjoy.

=-=-=-=-=-=First exam room=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Sasuke was having a bad day, though it started out splendidly.

He had woken up and remembered that today he would begin the chunin exams, which would allow him to advance, though he was rudely reminded of his serious handicap, when he got to the academy.

Sakura was, as usual, excited to see him and expressed it with her squeal about being there with him alone for all of five minutes before his other handicap showed up.

Sasuke saw his team as liabilities, due to Sakura being his number one fan-girl, while Kiba was an idiot.

Akamaru was the least useless of his teammates.

He could smell better than Kiba, as well as being faster. He was also capable of defending himself better than Sakura.

But his best quality, and the one that convinced Sasuke he was better than the other two, was the simple fact that he could not talk.

Sakura wouldn't leave him alone about anything and Kiba whined about Naruto.

Sasuke had then decided to break up a prank by two teens who decided to prank the chunin hopefuls, which led him to being challenged by a boy a year older than him, wearing a green spandex.

He didn't win.

And now he found out that he had to babysit his teammates, because he needed them to pass the exams.

As team seven walked into the room, they were surprised as someone latched onto Sasuke from behind, as said girl squealed about her Sasuke-kun, though she was promptly yelled at by Sakura.

Shikamaru was calling the situation troublesome, as Choji ate his chips, however, Shikamaru noticed some glares from team eight, which were targeted at Sasuke.

As Shikamaru noticed them, he recalled something from a couple nights ago, which was his father laughing his ass off to the point where his mom slapped him to shut him up in order to get the story from him.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=Shikamaru's flashback=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Shikamaru watched his father calm down after his mother smacked him.

"The Civilian council demanded the Hyuga heiress become betrothed to the Uchiha brat."

Shikamaru looked slightly confused.

"And, why exactly is that funny?"

Shikaku looked to his son with a deadpanned look.

"Mainly because the civilian counsel only has any say in civilian matters, while the subject of the Hyuga heir and Uchiha heir fall under shinobi jurisdiction. And even then, the aforementioned clans are the only ones with any say. The Uchiha brat would have to go and make a direct request of the head of the Hyuga clan with a proper argument for why he wanted to have his daughter as his bride."

Shikamaru rolled his eyes, while his mother sighed, before she went to finish dinner, and Shikaku finished telling his son about what happened.

"The issue was completely dropped from it being a clan issue, and Hiashi actually laughed at the boy's tenacity, before walking out and speaking about how he would never allow either of his daughters to be married off to some brat who thinks he's better for just being born."

Shikamaru shrugged as he walked out to the dinner table muttering about troublesome clan laws.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=end flashback=-=-=-=-=-=

Shikamaru groaned as he realized Sakura wouldn't have known about it, while Ino would have possibly not have paid attention when her father talked about it, if he did.

Choji and he talked about it, though Ino ignored them when they tried to talk about it with her, which told him she decided to try to prove she was a better choice than Hinata for Sasuke.

Shikamaru nor Choji blamed Naruto for being pissed off at Sasuke, and because he was pissed, they assumed he found out through his two teammates.

Team eight all looked at team ten as they smiled and nodded, completely ignoring team seven, as if they didn't exist.

Team eight wound up standing with Shikamaru and Choji, while Kiba tried to talk with Hinata, while Sakura and Ino fought over Sasuke.

Naruto was about to eliminate a team worth of Konoha-nin, but was stopped as a silver-haired teen, walked up and spoke.

"You all might want to quiet down, or you will just build up targets on your backs."

Sasuke glared at the older teen.

"And where do you get off bossing me around?"

The teen chuckled a bit before he answered.

"My name is Kabuto, and I was just trying to give some advice to the rookies, and maybe offer what info I have gathered from my seven tries in these exams."

Kiba was the one who blurted out a response.

"Wow, you must suck."

Kabuto smirked at the boy.

"Actually, these exams are harder than you all think."

Sasuke grunted as he spoke before anyone else.

"What info were you mentioning earlier?"

Kabuto smirked.

"I have info on the other participants, my info is very limited on ninja from other villages, but I have plenty on you all. I even have info on how many teams are from other villages."

Kiba glared.

"And how do we know you are telling us the truth?"

Naruto snorted.

"How many teams in the exams are easy, easier if he was one of the first teams here, however, the info on the specific ninja is highly complicated, unless he got a foreign ninja drunk and slept with them to get it."

Kabuto stared at the boy in shock, while a couple of ninja listening in laughed. Kabuto glared and was going to defend himself, if Sasuke hadn't spoke up.

"Gaara of the Desert, Rock Lee, and Naruto Uzumaki."

Kabuto looked at Sasuke, before sending another glare towards Naruto, as he pulled out three cards.

"First, Gaara, not much info on him, but he is from Suna, and according to what I have heard from other Suna-nin, he has never been on a mission lower than B, and has always come back without a scratch."

Kiba and Sakura swallowed the lumps in their throats, while Sasuke scoffed at the thought.

"Onto Rock Lee, he has no gen, or ninjutsu, but according to what I have found out about him, his taijutsu is something to fear. He is a single year older than you lot, and has even been on a couple B-rank missions, according to my sources."

Sasuke glared as Kabuto placed the card back into his deck, as the teen activated the third and final card.

"Naruto Uzumaki, not much info on his jutsu skills, but is noted to be skilled in taijutsu and has been rumored to have trained under the Toad Sage Jiraiya, and has earned the name Shadow Man of Konoha, from his use of shadows on levels above even Nara, while a story has begun to travel about him summoning large masks from the ocean that devoured a rather large group of bandits in Wave. Some rumors make mention of tombstones at the bottom of the lake, each with a different face and name carved onto them. Naruto Uzumaki is also known as the author of Heart's Fortune, a romance novel that has been running alongside the Icha-Icha series."

Several teams turned towards that bit of info, the room turning deathly quiet.

Naruto looked to see almost every person staring at him, causing him to become uncomfortable.

Ibiki chose that moment to make his appearance.

The exam was begun, and as they all went through it all, some sparing glances towards Naruto every now and then, Ibiki stopped them all at the 45th minute mark, which after giving them their ultimatum, some just stared at Naruto, though when some went to raise their hand, they decided to put it down before it was chin level, as they were glared at with so much killing intent, Kabuto was sweating from the left overs.

Ibiki stared at Naruto for a few seconds, wondering why almost every female was staring at the boy.

Ibiki decided that he waited long enough after the tenth boy cowards from a feminine glare of hatred.

And after he passed them, while explaining everything, even being disappointed and a bit heartbroken, that his intimidation tactics failed due to a brat and his book.

Anko came crashing through the door as Ibiki finished his explanations, not believing half the chunin hopefuls were paying attention.

Anko looked about the room.

"72 teams? You going soft Ibiki?"

Ibiki frowned.

"I would have eliminated more of them, if it wasn't for that blonde kid, and his damn book."

Anko looked at the students who were giving said boy their attention, and was a bit surprised, they barely paid attention to her fabulous entrance.

Anko sighed as she shouted at them all.

"Listen here brats. The next exam is at training field 44 in fifteen minutes, if you're late, you get disqualified."

Anko left by breaking another window, while Naruto melded with the shadows, trusting Hinata and Shino to make it to the training field on time.

Naruto watched as the rest of the teams and his own showed up, noticing that the rest of the teams, while those that have been staring at him during the first exams were calmed down enough to focus on the exam, though plenty were still staring every now and then.

Naruto listened as Anko explained the whole exam, as he made a comment after the kunoichi told them about the wavers, so Konoha was free of blame for any deaths.

"It's not death I fear in that forest."

Anko burst out laughing as she watched several girls give the blond a hungry look.

The teams signed the wavers, received their scrolls, and made their way to the gates.

Naruto was shivering like crazy, Hinata was rubbing his back, and even the chunin watching their gate was giving the boy looks of pity.

Anko shouted for the exam to begin from the speakers at the gates, as each gate swung open.

Naruto was in the lead, slightly faster than his teammates, while he turned at random points.

"We have to get lost quickly, before someone catches us."

Shino spoke up quietly from behind him.

"You mean you. You want to get lost before someone who wants to have their way with you finds and attempts to rape you."

Naruto pouted.

"Shino, you are so mean. They will also kidnap me and haul me back to their village as a prize and possibly force me to live out their fantasies as I am tied to their bed. And not to mention there might be boys who wish to do unimaginable things to me."

Hinata frowned as Shino let out a slight chuckle at the blond.

"You do realize, those things are only unimaginable because you don't want to imagine them correct?"

Naruto continued to pout as they hunted for a team to take down and get the scroll they needed.

=-=-=-=-=-=later closer towards the night=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Sakura was stuck getting both of her teammates to shelter.

Kiba having been taken down from the pale snake freak that attacked them, while Sasuke got away with a strange hickey.

Akamaru was following, a slight limp in his step, as they walked into a cave made from a large tree's roots, when they spotted a shirtless Naruto, tied up in the back of the cave.

Sakura blinked for all of three seconds before she decided to drop down and begin to cry.

"Why does all the freaky and creepy shit happen to me?"

Shino decided he would help the poor girl of team seven, as he dragged Kiba over to the side of the little hide away, Sakura following him with Sasuke.

Shino began to apply first aid as he explained.

"Naruto was freaked out about being kidnapped and raped, so he decided to get lost, and because of this, we became slightly lost, before me and Hinata became fed up, so we decided to set a trap, and me and Hinata would strike the three shinobi down when they entered for a rest."

Sakura looked confused.

"Doesn't that put Naruto in danger?"

Shino smirked as he responded.

"I and Hinata were close enough to make sure he didn't get harmed, though if he was found by a homosexual fan, Hinata might have been reluctant to step in to stop him in time."

Hinata pouted.

"I would have so stepped in to stop Naruto-kun from being raped."

Shino smiled at his team.

"I am well aware of what would have happened."

Hinata pouted some more, as Naruto actually cried. Hinata looked at Sakura.

"So what happened to them?"

Sakura looked down, miserable.

"Some creepy snake guy, calling himself Orochimaru, came and bit Sasuke on the neck after slapping both of them around."

Shino nearly smirked.

"So while our plan to trap someone with Naruto failed, you all found someone who went for Sasuke."

Naruto shivered, Hinata giggled, while Sakura pouted.

"I wasn't even worth the effort for him to pay attention to. Throughout the whole fight, Orochimaru kept his attention on Sasuke and Kiba, not even bothering to give me a single glance."

Naruto snorted.

"Of course, your chakra levels are pathetic, and you make no small effort in keeping your personal appearance in better shape than your shinobi skills. People would mistake you for a medic, or a genjutsu specialist, before assuming you would join a fight. Genin level genjutsu would have been useless against someone of Orochimaru's level, while a genin level medic is no threat on the battlefield. Everyone would have overlooked you."

Sakura was nearly crying as Hinata walked over to rub the girl's back, in a bit of comfort, though said no words towards the girl.

Shino went over and finished undoing Naruto's binds as he handed the boy his cane and shirt back.

Shino claimed the first watch, while Naruto claimed second.

Sakura was given second medic watch, while Hinata explained how her salves should be applied and where.

Hinata told Sakura to rest and she would explain once more about her tasks when she awoke.

After the night ended, Naruto and Sakura were awake, and watching for trouble.

Naruto was still sore about being tied up, evident from how he would groan about it every so often.

Naruto, though still groaning, threw a kunai at a squirrel, making it scamper away. Sakura looked at him with a small amount of confusion, but left it alone in favor of watching over her team.

Sakura continued to mope about how useless she was, as the team from sound came from a bush.

Naruto looked at the three with a bored look, as the loud one shouted about blasting them all to hell.

As he raised his arms, the girl of their team grabbed and nearly broke one.

"If you so much as harm a single hair on Naruto-sama's head, I will make you beg for Orochimaru-sama's punishment."

Zaku sweated as he nodded.

Kin turned as she began to smile sweetly at Naruto, staring at him with nearly hearts in her eyes.

Dosu sighed.

"Well, than you better make him to go, because we have a mission to accomplish."

Kin just nodded as she started to go after Naruto right away in hand to hand, using her senbon needles as claw-like weapons.

Zaku and Dosu began going towards the tree, before they decided against it as they began to notice bugs crawling in a way too organized pattern. Shino stepped from the tree root cave, as he spoke.

"So, your female team wants to take Naruto?"

Zaku and Dosu looked at the boy as more bugs left his coat.

Zaku suddenly had to jump back as Hinata dropped down on him, pushing him back from Shino and Dosu.

Dosu was about to go and trade opponents with Zaku, until bugs decided to block him.

"Your battle is with me member of the sound team."

Dosu sighed as he spoke up.

"The name is Dosu, Leaf shinobi."

Shino nodded.

"I am Shino Aburame."

Dosu nodded as he rushed for his opponent, ready to cause the boy as much damage as soon as possible, so he could go save Zaku, before going to help Kin get her new toy.

Dosu swung his arm, though as nothing happened, even after he swung it two more times, he looked and found out that the Aburame had planted bugs in his gauntlet.

"You should really be more careful when you spy on someone, as well as check over yourselves before rushing into battle. My insects found you, and have been draining you all of your chakra all night long. You will fall first due to how simple your skills are. My insects warned me about your arm, and even about the idiot's arms. Though your female had no seen weapon, so I really couldn't do anything to hamper her, but she did go after Naruto. So I never had the need to hamper her."

Dosu groaned as he swung his arm like a club.

Hinata was having a very easy time dealing with the dumb one of the sound team. Every time he tried to blast her with his arms, she would go right in and knock the chakra out of his arms, before punching him in the nose.

Hinata was dancing around the boy with ease, halting his chakra here, kicking him in the nuts there. He was a ranged fighter, she was a melee fighter, and he had no plan to fight someone with as much speed and flexibility as the Hyuga, though he did contemplate taking the girl like Kin would that Naruto boy.

He just had to tie her up and take her with them when they left.

With another kick to his tenders, he groaned. Hinata was glaring at him.

"Will you stop looking at me with that pathetic look already? It's really creepy."

Zaku groaned again as he continued to get his ass handed to him, as he hoped Dosu or Kin could come help him soon.

Kin was having trouble, the boy had started taking her seriously, only for him to slowly stop, until the boy pulled a book from his weapons pouch and began to read it.

Naruto was having a hell of a time, as his shadow dealt with the girl, him pretending to toy with her, made her easier to handle.

Though that lasted all of two seconds, when the girl asked.

"Is that the next to come out?"

As Naruto slowly nodded, the girl, Kin as she introduced herself as his future wife, gave the book a longing gaze.

Naruto sighed.

"How often do you purchase my books?"

Kin blushed as she actually answered.

"Well, I have none, I mostly just borrow Tayuya's, and return them when I'm done. We are a relatively new village, and our leader doesn't really enjoy wasting the money we have on entertainment purposes. But Tayuya has been buying them from the stores in other villages with what money she has. I am a relatively new recruit, so I don't get enough in my pay to really get any, while I have also only begun my mission excepting."

Naruto looked at the girl in somewhat pity, as he held the book out to her. Kin actually looked at the book, before looking to Naruto.

"Why are you giving your enemy a book?"

Naruto sighed.

"I am an author, and knowing someone who loves my work, yet is unable to enjoy it, kind of tugs at my heart strings."

Kin began to cry as she actually hugged the boy, who surprisingly hugged her back, Kin accepted the book, placing it in her weapons pouch, before getting back into her battle stance.

"I am still going to kidnap you though."

Naruto smiled as he let out a sigh.

"Well, good luck my little fan."

Kin was about to rush the boy again, though, Zaku flying in between them had put a stop to it.

Dosu stepped away from his opponent, as Kin stared at the two boys, as they retreated.

Naruto looked into a tree, sensing someone, only to see team nine up there.

Dosu finished dragging Zaku away from the battle field, while Kin reluctantly stepped back with him.

Zaku groaned.

"I don't think I will ever have children."

Kin raised an eyebrow, as she gained a slight bounce in her steps.

Neji, Naruto, Shino, and Shikamaru, who was hiding, each went rigged as they sensed the dark aura, only to turn and find Sasuke radiating a purple energy, with flame like patterns covering his body.

Sasuke smiled darkly as he stared at the other genin in front of him.

"Such power, who shall feel my wrath first?"
