A/N: Hey all! Now before you throw rotten tomatoes at me for updating a one-shot instead of my other story—831: Eight Letters, Three Words, One Meaning—I've decided to write one of the things that every good author on here seems to have. You know, one of those one-shots that have every other word bolded, italicized, underlined, or spaced oddly? Yeah one of those. So here you go. This idea popped into my head, and I can't fit it to dialogue without making it a long, long, long, multi-chap, so… yeah.

Enough of my rattling on; here is the story!

She was just a s m a l l t o w n g i r l

He was a big city actor who had always had whatever he wanted

She didn't know the ropes of Hollywood

He had offered to teach her

They both fell hard

But she fell harder

He promised he would never break her heart

She believed him

He made her feel special

She felt so s a f e in his arms

He loved the way she kissed him

The feel of her lips on his

So s o f t,

So gentle

So loving

He crossed his heart

She was unsure but his blue eyes convinced her

He made her believe him

Then she t o l d him

Told him she loved him

With her whole h e a r t a n d s o u l

He had always been somewhat of a p l a y b o y

She had only been in relationships

When she told him she loved him,

He didn't know how to respond

So he r a n from it

Awayfrom the one who loved him

Whom he knew he loved back

He had b r o k e n his promise

And shattered her heart

She didn't know it

But he had shattered his as well

It practically ruined her life

She had truly fallen hard

He hated himself for what he did

Yet didn't know how to fix it

She swore never to fall again

She b l o c k e d herself away from the world

She had spiraled into depression

And it was all because of him

She avoided him like the plague

He was hurt that he couldn't even apologize

Not even her best friend could b r e a k t h r o u g h her wall

She was truly gone

Then, she woke up

She awoke to find that nobody spoke to her anymore

They had all g i v e n u p on her

When she first spoke again, everyone stared

Including him

He approached her cautiously

And told her what she wanted to hear

At first, she c o u l d n o t believe him

But heis eyes were so genuine

She asked him why

'Because promises are m e a n t to be broken'
