A/N: I figured I should write at least one fic in honour of InuYasha ending, so here it is, my secret shipping: Byakuya and Sesshomaru. (Yes, I do realise this makes no sense. But this is my brain so not much makes sense at all). Just some interaction, nothing too fancy. I just need to get back into the swing of writing.

DISCLAIMER: InuYasha belongs to Takahashi Rumiko-sensei.

Sesshomaru knew from the foul stench permeating the air that he would be receiving an unwanted visitor soon. He scowled and increased his pace, ignoring the cries of "Sesshomaru-sama, please slow down!" that Jaken was currently expelling.

Despite the fact that he had nearly killed the green imp in the process, however, Sesshomaru was not able to escape the inevitable. The wind picked up, and soon an oversized paper crane was landing in front of him.

Byakuya of the Dreams… Sesshomaru knew he smelt something foul.

The incarnation stepped off the crane, a smirk on his face. Sesshomaru scowled at this and put his hand to his sword, drawing quickly and swinging at the offending demon.

Byakuya ducked, managing to dodge the blade just in time. "Woah, woah, Sesshomaru!" He said, straightening and rubbing the back of his neck. "That was close! And to think I just got here, too…"

"I have no interest in anything you have to say. Leave at once," the dog demon said, re-sheathing his sword and turning away.

"What? Harsh, man," Byakuya whined, taking a step forward. "I've come to bring you information on Naraku." Seeing the other demon's expression change slightly, Byakuya smirked. "Interested now?"

Sesshomaru said nothing, but turned his body so he was fully facing the dream demon. Byakuya perked up at this, taking the small gesture to mean he could continue. He walked forward again, holding his hands out and sighing as he did so.

"I know that you hate Naraku. So do I, actually. And so that's why I'm here to tell you his location—hey! Where are you going?!"

Sesshomaru continued walking past the other man. "I have no intention of listening to your lies," he said.

"S-Sesshomaru-sama!" Jaken cried, stumbling about to catch up. Rin laughed as Kohaku sighed, ordering the dragon he was riding to follow.

"Lies? My dear Sesshomaru, why ever would you think that?" Byakuya said, a sly expression gracing his features.

"I am no fool. If you want to kill Naraku, do it yourself. I am not your personal soldier."

Byakuya's eyes widened, but his expression soon changed and he waved his hand dismissively. "Come now, I am merely wanting to tell you where he is. You want to—hey!"

Sesshomaru unsheathed his sword again, and in the blink of an eye he was in front of the other demon, attempting to strike. Their faces were so close that Byakuya could feel the other's breath ghost over his mouth, and realising this his cheeks pinked considerably.

Distracted by the closeness of the other man, he almost didn't dodge the attack in time. Almost.

"Would you stop doing that?" He panted, putting a hand to his heart and scowling at the fast pace it was beating.

"I have no time for this, I've told you." Sesshomaru put his sword back into its scabbard and turned around, nodding at Kohaku to follow.

Byakuya sighed, realising that his little game had ended. "Whatever, Sesshomaru," he said, a smirk on his face. "You'll need my help eventually."

Sesshomaru allowed a small smile to play on his face. "I will never let that happen."
