Summary: The birth of their first child

" This is it babe, push" John always knew how to encourage me.

"Arggh! I can't do this anymore! I want to get this baby out! Tears threatened to seep through my eyes when I said "I want to go home."

"Mrs. Spartan as soon as you push this child out, this will all be over with." The kindly old doctor ordered me.

"Please sweetheart. I love you please do this." I could tell that John was afraid.

"Ok, I'll try".

"Here it comes. Arghh! Ow! Oh my god! With herculean effort I heard the most beautiful sound come from within me. It was my daughter.

Gladly the doctor announced "You have a healthy baby girl."

John was the first to hold her. There were two things that daughter had of John Spartan. First, his cocoa brown eyes and by the way that she cried her father's loud voice.

We named her Anna Marià Spartan. Everything about this tiny fragile being made tears well up.

"We made this, didn't we John"

"Yes we did. I love you."

"I love you too John Spartan."

I have it all now. Some people wait a lifetime to feel the elation I feel now. I just had to wait until 2032. The year John Spartan affectionately "defrosted."
