Welcome all! This idea has been nagging at me for a while now, so I decided to write it down. This is a short fiction, and will only be three chapters long. I hope you all enjoy! :]
"Daddyyyyyy! Daddyyyyyyy!"
Turning from his morning newspaper, curious eyes peered towards the man's daughter. He was of large build, dense bone structure laying the foundations for the beefy muscles that he had acquired during his teenage years. He had always been large, although as a child it was from obesity instead of a heavy weight wrestler's muscles.
Dudley Dursley examined his daughter for a moment. She was blond haired and light eyed, like her father, and she had his nose. Apart from that, she was strikingly like her mother. A little bit over weight, but more baby fat than anything. As she grew, it would turn to feminine curves, but for now, Amelia Dursley was prepubescent, and for some reason, she was very, very excited.
"Daddy look!" She was waving something at him, it looked like… old paper? For some reason, Dudley felt a premonition of something shiver down his spine.
"What is it, Amelia?" he inquired, and she bounded up to the table where he sat with his newspaper and cup of coffee.
"I've been accepted!" the ten year old practically shrieked, bouncing on the ball of her feet. Dudley waited for her to go on, and Amelia flushed, reading directly from the paper in her hands.
"Dear Miss Dursley," Amelia read, "We are pleased to announce you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"
Blood drained from Dudley's face as Amelia continued reading, but the sound faded as his ears began buzzing.
"-dy? Daddy? Daddy are you okay?"
His daughter's worried face appeared in his line of sight. "I'm fine, baby girl." He muttered, pasting a strained smile on his face. Amelia looked back down at the paper in her hands, then back up at him, puzzlement in her eyes.
"Daddy where do I get a cauldron?"
Dudley Dursley felt like fainting.
