Summary: The Battle of Sudden Flame, in Aegnor's point of view.

1. Fire
Well-Named

The Dragon roared.

Thangorodrim, likewise.

The plains went aglow with fell light.

People scattered like leaves, trying to avoid both. Many were not lucky. Caught between the Wyrm's deadly breath and the molten lava pouring down from the Mountains of Tyranny, they had nowhere to flee. Their screams were swallowed by the cacophony, and their bodies shrivelled in the searing and devouring heat.

Aegnor watched as Angrod and his troops were overwhelmed, two leagues away.

And then it was his and his own troops' turn.

He did not scream. He laughed and cried in bitter irony instead.

Fell Fire, indeed.

–O–O–O–

End note: Aikanáro (the Quenya form of Aegnor's name) means "Fell Fire."
