Justice Dreamer
-Drabble-

It seems when he has his trust in the world, she's lost it. He wonders if it's a balance scheme; if he's meant to hold her up when she falls and vice versa. Regardless, their cause is always there, always between them, pushing them forward.

The world could fall apart tomorrow and he's sure that she'll be there, next to him, with either a plan to put it back together or the trust in him to think it up for them. Maybe he's a dreamer, dreaming his life away, hoping for the best when it may never come. And maybe he has it right, dreaming of better days and knowing that as long as he tries he might just be able to give it to them.

History repeats itself; Clark, the Kandorians, or whatever super race/end-of-the-word villain has popped up now and the only constant he knows is her. They may not be perfect, they have and will make their mistakes, and maybe they're too jaded to be superheroes but here they are.

There is no serenity, and the hope for peace between them and the Kandorians is dim, but he can dream for more. He will stock up and he will have a back-up plan because he knows the truth of it. Trusting in hope will get him only so far; eventually he will have to fight for it.

So when the end comes, he will have his arrow of justice nocked and Chloe at his side. There's no certainty in it but he can dream his life away, hoping that when it comes to an end he'll have done it all right.
