OK So It's My Prom Tonight, And I Am So Nervous! I'm wearing 4 inch heels and I'm clumsy barefooted, so wish me luck please!

Lexie's POV

"You figured out that Zayden is actually Zayden's twin sister Alexis disguised as Zayden?" Emmett asked, and I froze.

Oh No. How did he find out? I thought.

"I overheard you and Jasper talking this morning." Emmett said, grinning with pride. I sighed. Zayden was going to be so annoyed with me.

I took the wig off my head and looked at Mom. She hadn't spoken and was just staring into space.

"Mom?" I asked, beginning to worry if she was angry at me.

"Bell?" Emmett said walking slowly towards her. "Bell?" He put his hand on her shoulder and her eyes snapped up to look at me.

It took a little over 10 minutes before she moved again, but it felt like hours.

"Alexis?" She said in a small voice, still looking towards me. I nodded softly and she practically ran at me, taking me into her arms and hugging me like a bear.

Obviously Emmett couldn't help but join in, being the child he is, and I ended up squished in the middle.

"Ok, c..ant...brea..th...yyou..guys" I said, trying to take in as much air as I could while they hugged me tightly.

When they eventually let go, I dramatically in took breath, like I had been deprived of oxygen for years, or running for hours. They laughed and I smiled.

Jasper walked in the room, and I ran up to hug him. "I love you Uncle, Jazz." He smiled and hugged me back.

He whispered in my ear "I take it they know then" and I just simply nodded yes in response.

He lifted me up and carried me back to Mom and Uncle Em, and we sat down to talk. The once happy and light mood had now become more serious.

"So Alexis, If you're here then where is Zayden?" Oh No I thought. I knew I had to tell them, but I'm not sure I wanted too.

"He is at our Dad, Edward's" I mumbled.

I was scared that she was going to be angry at me, for coming here instead of going back to Dad's, so I continued quickly. "But only because I wanted to get to know you, and the same with Zayden and Dad."

After a few minutes Mom said...

Zayden's POV

Later that evening, I decided to try and get Dad to tell me about how he and mom broke up and more importantly, why.

Because, although I loved Dad, our Aunts, Grandma and Grandpa, I missed Mom.

I missed beating Uncle Em at Guitar Hero, debating the civil war with Uncle Jazz and fishing with Charlie.

I wanted us all to be one big happy family, where I could be able to get help from Aunt Rose on how to prank Uncle Em, or watch my Mom and Dad curled up on the sofa together fast asleep.

I could hear a conversation going on in the kitchen, between Dad and Aunt Alice, so I decided to listen in before entering the kitchen.

"Oh go on brother, just one date. Please" my Aunt said in a begging voice.

"No Alice"

"Please"

"No"

"Please"

"No"

"Please"

"No"

"Please"

"No"

"Please"

"No"

"Please"

"No"

"Fine, but one day you'll be asking for one, Bella isn't going to magically reappear and turn up back in Forks"

I had heard enough.

As I walked into the kitchen, I saw that Dad sat with Aunt Alice at the island. They stopped talking as soon as I entered.

"Lex, how are you?" Aunt Alice said, trying to sound casual. Trying and failing.

"Ummmm, fine" I stated simply. "Can I talk to Dad for a minute?"

Aunt Alice waited for Dad to give signal for her to leave, and when he gave it she shuffled out of the room slowly. Both Dad and I seemed to know that Alice would be standing outside listening through the door.

"So what's up kiddo?" he said calmly, looking at me curiously. He was obviously wondering why I wanted to speaking to him.

"I wanted to know more about my mom" I said trying to sound like Lex and nervous at the same time.

His eyes filled with pain, and I regretted asking. In was about to tell him to forget I said anything when he started to speak...
