"Love makes the wildest spirit tame, and the tamest spirit wild."

-Alexis Delp

Love had changed him.

It had killed Dominique to sit back on the sidelines and just watch as the love of her life changed.

Flawless Victoire with her unearthly looks had stolen Lysander from her. But wait. He had never been hers. Yes, in her dreams maybe, but she had to quit living in her dreams and face her reality -a place where Lysander was not hers and there was nothing she could do about it. It wasn't right that Dominique felt that pure, untainted hatred towards her sister but she could not help it. The thing that she hated the most was that the oldest Weasley's love had changed that Scamander twin -not for the better, either.

Innocent Lysander was not quite so innocent anymore, all thanks to an awful thing called love. Dominique had felt so helpless as Lysander changed right before her own very eyes. His golden locks that had once looked like they were blessed by the Sun god Apollo himself, were now a dull blond color. His eyes that were once so round, so dreamy, had taken on a wild edge. He traded in his beautiful smile for a smirk that just did not fit his angelic face. His airy voice that used to always fill her with butterflies now only sent chills up her spine. Lysander was different -changedchangedchanged. To Dominique's dismay, he didn't, or wouldn't, even take notice of his differences.

Cruel Victoire had also changed to her younger sister's surprise. Her ice-cold blue eyes had taken on a warmth, making them look alive and -dare she say it -friendly. Her sarcastic tone had been banished and replaced with one that was not unlike her own. Her infamous smile that used to promise heart break was no where to be seen.

It was as if they had changed roles -cruel to kind, kind to cruel, tame to wild, and wild to tame. Victoire had settled down, an action that no one had thought she was able to do. And Lysander was now wild -a fauve.

In some twisted, complicated, evil way it made it so much easier on Dominique to see these differences. She could no longer hate Victoire for being with Lysander because, now, he wasn't really Lysander. He was not the boy with whom she had fallen in love. The only thing that she could hate now was that horrible, detestable thing named love since it was to blame for changing her precious Lysander.

So, I did this for Mew!

The quote was from Mew's challenge in HPFC.

The Victoire/Lysander pairing is my original pairing(not characters, I know they're JKR's). I'd appreciate if you'd give me a mention if you were to use them.

Thanks Mew for betaing! I think that 'Sander is quite yummy in this, too!

:D
