A few weeks had passed and they'd finally found a happy, comfortable place with one another. Things were on the up and looking normal. Everything was as it should be. They'd spent several days talking, crying, bickering, fighting, yelling, and consoling one another, but finally, Jack was relieved. While it would take a while to regain each other's trust, they were together and that's all Jack and Chase cared about.

A few times, Wuya and Hannibal came to visit and Jack told them off. He really gave them a piece of his mind, which shocked everyone including Jack himself. After everything he'd been through, he'd matured. But not enough to where he wasn't the loveable idiot as everyone had come to know him.

And while Chase had become more honest and vulnerable with Jack, there were still some issues to be resolved. Chase still had to tell Jack about his plans to make him immortal, and to try again for another baby. Chase would never give up that dream, even if Jack didn't want to have another baby. Although the first was meant to be a surprise for Jack, since feeling the flutter of movement beneath Jack's skin that night, he had become enamored with the idea of a little Heylin hellion running about. Chase wanted a family now as badly as Jack had in the beginning of their relationship. And now, Chase wanted to make that dream a reality. They would have a family again.

During the afternoon, Chase and Jack found themselves in the training room. Jack found he loved to spar with Chase. It did help him to clear his mind and organize his feelings. He'd be lying if he said there wasn't residual anger from what Chase had done to him and Chase saw it. It pained him to know Jack still harbored anger towards him, but he still dealt with his own anger every day. Chase hated himself deep down for what he did. Regardless of how evil or sinister he had become over the centuries, he still had to deal with his fragile mortal heart. He'd wanted someone to raise, a little being who would be dependent upon him. Chase loved Jack, but they both needed something to live for once they were both immortal. Chase knew how much pain and suffering, loneliness and sadness he'd gone through before finding Jack. He knew they could be happy being immortal together, but after a while, it becomes mundane and boring. A child would enrich their lives and he wanted that, not only for himself but for his love-…for his lover. Jack was his lover. That thought made him smile and focus on the sparing match he was presently engaged in.

Jack jumped and spun at him with a sword but he easily dodged and moved behind the albino teen and pinned him against his body quite harshly. Jack let out a grunt of pain as some of the wind left his lungs and he slouched forward. But that wasn't going to stop him. He was so angry and lost in his own thoughts that he was focused on one thing: releasing tension. Slouching forward, Jack touched his hands to the floor, lifted his feet and pushed them into Chase's kneecaps. Chase let out a surprised grunt of pain and let Jack do a front flip away from him.

"You're improving, Spicer." Chase smirked and Jack's eyes narrowed. When they sparred, it was like going back in time. Jack was Spicer and Jack simply wanted to impress Chase. While he was improving, it was simply because he took it more as therapy now than anything. Chase was glad they'd found something that was healthy and enjoyable.

They went back and forth before Jack finally held up his hands and walked towards the door, needing to breathe. Chase stood from his crouching position and smiled, following Jack to the kitchen for some much needed water. Chase was mulling over whether or not to tell Jack about turning him immortal. He remembered what Jack had told him during one of their arguments. "'I don't care what it is you need to tell me, Chase. If you have something you want to ask or say to me, especially if it involves me in anyway, I want to know!'"

"Jack," he started and Jack held up a finger as he guzzled down his second glass of ice water. After catching his breath once more, he turned to face Chase fully and looked him in the eyes, giving him his full attention. Chase's smiled faltered for a second before he walked up to the teen and wrapped his arms around his waist. "I've been meaning to…ask you. How would you feel about becoming an immortal being?" Jack, who had his chin resting on Chase's broad shoulder, raised his eyebrows in surprise. The thought had crossed his mind a few times in their two years together, but he just brushed it aside, not wanting to think about such things. But now being presented with the question, Jack thought on it for several moments.

"Do you have a specific plan or method in mind for doing such a thing?" Jack asked him after almost a minute of silence. Chase shook his head as he pulled away from the teen.

"No, but I wanted to ask you because I want you to be around. I want you forever, Jack." He winked. "I've been talking to Hannibal Roy Bean and Wuya, and we've come up with a few possible scenarios, both of which would render you immortal. One involves Shen Gong Wu, and another involves you drinking the Dragon Low Mein soup that I did. However, it is your choice and you can refuse if you so desire."

"No..n-no, I think I want to. I definitely want to be with you forever, Chase, but I'm just worried about the method you use. The last time I went through something strange and magical, it ended with blood." Chase flinched. He hated how many times a day they referenced the loss of their child. It was a traumatic event, yes, and the more they spoke about it, the sooner they might be able to move on; he realized this. It just hurt so much and Chase wished he could erase the memory from their minds. Nonetheless, Jack had a point. "If there's a painless and non-traumatic way of doing it, then yes, I will Chase. I could build more evil robots! And get better at Tai Chi and other martial arts styles!" Jack became excited and jumped up and down. Chase loved seeing him this way; the young and exuberant Jack. He wanted to keep Jack this young and lively forever. The only problem now, knowing that Jack had consented, was finding a suitable method of transformation. Chase made a mental note and took another sip of water.

Later in the evening, as they were getting ready for bed, Chase decided to ask Jack another serious question. "Jack," he began, looking up from his book and at the albino brushing his teeth in the bathroom adjacent to their room. He could see through the mirror that Jack was vigorously brushing back and forth and as he did, his butt was wiggling from side to side as well. "Hn?" came Jack's reply from the bathroom. Chase smirked and continued, "I have another question I want to ask you. A serious question." Chase waited for Jack to spit, gargle and floss before the teen bounded back into the room and sat on the bed, looking at Chase with those bright red albino eyes. He set his book on the nightstand and took Jack's hand. "I know that this question will be had for you to answer, so if you can't answer me right now, I understand. I won't be angry; I would…just hope you consider it. I've been meaning to ask you this question for a little while now." Jack nodded, steeling himself for this very serious question. Chase had been asking him many difficult questions as of late, but he didn't think much of it. Perhaps this was just part of their healing process. Chase cleared his throat and sighed before summoning up the courage to speak the question, "Would you ever consider having another child with me?"

Jack froze and took a deep breath. He hadn't been expecting that blow to the gut. Jack was overly sensitive about things in general, but the loss of his first baby had torn him to absolute ribbons. Jack took his hand from Chase's and stood up from the bed, clutching his hand to his chest. Chase's hopeful gaze dropped and he realized what Jack's answer was. "I understand," he said quietly and Jack left the room to be alone. Chase was quiet for a moment before he stood and slammed a fist into the wall, angry with himself. He'd gone and messed everything up once more. The almighty Chase Young, the absolute worst lover/boyfriend in the entire world.

Gathering his clothes and shoes, Chase left the room, heading towards the entrance before transforming into his dragon self and flying off into the night.

Jack wandered around the complex, inside and outside, unsure of how to handle his thoughts. He never thought Chase would ask him that question so soon. Of course, given time, he would want to try for another child with Chase. Hell, now the immortal question seemed to make sense. With them both being immortal, they would both be around to care for the child and their baby would not only be Heylin but immortal as well. It was perfect. However, judging from the last time, Chase could not be trusted to control himself. So perhaps, even with all of the time in the world, would they ever be able to have a kid? If Chase couldn't control his urges… Would Jack have to lock himself away until he gave birth in order to save the child from his father? That didn't seem right or fair.

Jack noted Chase missing from the palace and sighed. He'd gone off to let off some steam and he was grateful for the solitude. Although being home and being near Chase had been great to start, after all of their discussions and fights, it was nice to have some more alone time. Could they make it work if they did decide to try for another child? These were all questions that needed to be vetted and discussed before any decision could be made. Would he consider it? Yes, and he wanted Chase there so he could tell him but that would have to wait until the morning. This perhaps was for the best considering they'd been sparring all day and bickering all day yesterday. Jack hoped everything would work out between them. Becoming immortal and raising a baby with Chase had been his dream when they'd first gotten together two years ago. And now his dream was scaring him half to death and causing him so much stress and anger. Was it worth it?

Yes, Jack believed it would all be worth it in the end.

The next morning, Jack found himself curled up on the couch with a blanket over him. He must have lie down to calm his whirling mind and fallen asleep. Chase had probably returned and put the blanket over him. He smiled. His ancient dragon lord was so sweet sometimes. Chase had many faults, but he could always melt Jack's heart with the simplest of gestures. Sitting up, Jack looked at the clock on the wall. It read 6:36am. He stretched and yawned before getting up and taking the blanket back to the closet. He listened for Chase in the kitchen but only heard the jaguar cat soldier snoozing behind the door. Jack sighed and went in, making himself a pot of tea. The cat sat up and purred as Jack stroked it behind the ears. He was glad the cats approved of him and no longer tried to bite him as they had when he first came to Chase's palace.

"Have you seen Lord Dragonpants this morning?" He asked the jaguar and the jaguar shook its head slowly. Jack sighed and patted the cat once more before he stood and went to the entrance. He looked at the sunrise as he sipped his tea. "Chase," he called out and wondered if he might be able to hear him. Standing there in his robot bunny pjs and dragon slippers, he thought about Chase's question once more and cursed mentally. His reaction had been so cold and rejecting that Chase most likely assumed that Jack wanted nothing to do with Chase sexually anymore (which couldn't be further from the truth). "Chase," he called out again, a little louder this time. Still no response. After spending a good fifteen minutes watching the sunrise, Jack turned to head back inside.

Jack spent a majority of the day in his lair, building robots per Hannibal's advice. He was glad to have something to distract himself with. As he worked, he thought about how his life had come to where it was now. It was crazy to think how much time had gone by and how quickly things had changed. Two years ago, if someone had told him he would be the lover of Chase Young, living in his palace and building his drones on a quiet day like this, he would have laughed in their face. If someone had told him he'd carry a child and then lose it, he would have smacked that person. All of it was a little dizzying to think about so he decided to put some music on while he worked.

As he had the music blaring, he didn't hear Chase arrive back home or hear the jaguar coming down the steps to gain his attention. Once he did see the large cat, flicking its tail as it watched Jack, he stood and put his goggles on his forehead. The cat stood and went back up the stairs. Jack sighed and turned off his music, following the cat into the main hall where he saw Chase sitting on his chair. Jack came up the steps and faced the dragon lord fearlessly. If someone had told him two years ago…

"Chase, I'm sorry for the way I reacted last night. I was in shock. Now, I think I've had time to process what you were asking and," he paused, making sure Chase was listening, "yes, I am willing to consider it. Just not now, not so soon after." He looked down at his boots while Chase drummed his fingers on the armrest of the chair. There was silence for a while before Jack felt a hand wrap around his wrist and pull him into Chase's lap. Chase sighed and pressed a kiss to Jack's lips. Jack relaxed and melted into the kiss, loving the warmth of Chase's embrace. It was as if nothing bad had happened and all of his anxiety was temporarily washed away. When their lips parted, Chase locked eyes with Jack.

"I was worried you wanted nothing more to do with me." Jack let out a small chuckle and shook his head, assuring Chase that he wouldn't leave and would never not want him.

"You couldn't be more wrong, Chase Young."

"I'm glad, Jack Spicer."

"Now, what do you say we go find something to eat? I've been working all day and I'm starving." Chase winked at him and carried him into the kitchen, preparing to make Jack, as well as himself, something to eat. Placing Jack on the counter, he locked lips with the boy once again. Jack let his arms hang around Chase's shoulders as their tongues danced. Jack sighed as he felt Chase's hand along his thigh, going ever higher towards the small of his back as he pulled him closer to his ripped body. Jack moaned softly and placed trailing kisses along Chase's jawline and down his neck. Chase purred in satisfaction, tilting his neck so his skin was bared to Jack's teasing lips. Pulling away, Jack moved his hand to Chase's armor and began to undo the straps, buckles and buttons. Chase growled lowly as he began to do the same to his albino lover.

"Chase, I'm so hungry. Please, make me something," he winked as he slipped out of his jacket and shirt. Chase smirked and pulled away from the teen, moving over to the refrigerator and pulled out some fruit and whipped cream. Jack still had a sweet tooth. Jack winked at the dragon lord and they proceeded to make a huge mess of the kitchen. After all was said and done, Jack and Chase were both breathless, although Chase recovered more quickly than Jack did. "That," Jack said, still trying to catch his breath, "was amazing."

"Naturally," Chase smirked arrogantly, scooping Jack into his arms as they left the kitchen for the bathroom. Jack smiled and started the bath once Chase had set him down. Jack loved baths with Chase, and once they were both comfortable, Jack began rinsing the sweet sugar from his body and hair and helped Chase wash up as well. They ended up kissing for a long time before they were once again at each other's throats, lashing with warm hands and tongues, moaning and groaning loudly as they lost themselves once again in their passions. Sex with Chase was so amazing, and Jack thought himself silly for thinking he might walk away from this.

Fast-forward several hours, and the two found themselves cuddled in bed, staring at the ceiling leisurely and talking, enjoying their after sex glow. "So, no, I don't think I could ever dye my hair. It would just look weird and it would make me feel uncomfortable. Plus, I think I'd lose my evil boy genius spark if my hair wasn't flaming red."

Chase chuckled and kissed Jack's forehead. "Indeed." Chase enjoyed listening to Jack go on about pointless things. It was one of Jack's more eloquent qualities in that he could just go on and on without stumbling or becoming too obnoxious. There was a lull in the conversation now and Chase took the moment to clear his throat and speak. "Jack, I know you still harbor anger towards me for what I did. And I hate myself every minute of every day. But I just wanted to say thank you for being so...accepting and forgiving. There's something more than just like love, and I think it's making us stronger. I just wanted to say thank you for giving that to me and sharing your life with me. It means more than you'll ever know."

Jack's eyes welled up with tears and he snuggled closer to Chase's chest, kissing it. "I love you, Chase. All of your immortal imperfections, all of your poor qualities and decision-making habits; I love it all, and I wouldn't want you any other way." Chase sighed in content. At least something was perfect in his life. At least he could make Jack happy and if that's all he could do, he was satisfied with just that.

Ah, I haven't written in so long so I feel like I'm just churning these out. But I want to finish this story, and so help me, I will. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
