Tommy, for some reason, couldn't tolerate cold weather. He had found this out at the worst of times.

"We'll be trapped in here till tomorrow, probably." Nigel muttered, not wanting to scare him but not trying to give him false hope. It did scare him, though. The boy pulled his knees up to his chest and whimpered.

Sighing, the older sat behind the ball of shivering Tommy, pulling him close and holding him so that his head was leaning against his chest.

"Just rest for now. I'll stay up and keep you warm."
