A/N: It's my first piece of poetry based on Pandora Hearts. It's inspired by all the thinking I went through these days about Alice and Alyss and is dedicated to the new-found idea that things might be much, much more complicated then they seem when it comes to the two of them and their past sharing a life of a human girl. And when it comes to which Alice is which.
I would appriciate the comments - although I do know I'm very far from a poet.
"You are not the Alice I know."
"That's right. I'm not the Alice you know. But I'm Alice too. Me and that brat, our souls are connected. Thanks to that connection she can only come here from the deepness.
She is me and I am her, our existence is both the same and different. "Alice". That is the name we are given."
Which one did you see, Jack,
The time you first opened the door?
And each time when you came back
Which one where you looking for?
Which one did Cheshire like?
Which one's dolls had Vincent tore?
Which one harboured all the dislike?
Which one liked the dancing more?
Which was it – the white or the black?
Which one's smile did you prefer?
Which one did you push back?
Which one did you care for?
Which one was the violent one?
Which one's birth had broken the law?
Which one was the lonely one?
Which one held the key to the Door?
And when you confronted Glen
Which one did you argue for?
Which one was you couldn't save?
Which one did you cherish more?
And when at the tower's high
A figure you saw on the floor,
Which was it – the white or the black?
Which one were you wishing for?
