Walter:

This is probably one of the most wonderful tales that I, in my past 65
years, have ever come to read or heard. I am a retired US Navy man, and have
in memory many stories of the sea and ancient mariners, yet this is one of the
best. Most tales of old are passed down through generations by mouth, some in
writing, and most of these tales do have a validation of merit. Please keep
them alive for future generations.

Dear Walter,

I only wish that I could reply to you with some assurance that you'd read this. When I sat down to write this what has already been many years ago I wanted to do justice to the genre that I'd chosen. Initially this was supposed to be a lore supplement for the Pirates of the Caribbean story that my friend and I were co-writing. Admittedly, I put more research and love and imagination into this piece than I did the actual story. I used a book from a folio society collection (found here wwwDOTamazonDOTcom / Empires – Early – America – Aztecs – Society / dp / B000FRTQEY) called 'The Aztecs' and pulled from some of the lore there. All the dates, and names were rooted out of that book, and I couldn't have written this legend without it's help.

I'm so honoured by your beautiful review. My Grandfather was in the Marines, and my father and I sail together sometimes, so the sea is in my blood. I certainly hope that I can continue to live up to the expectations of great men like you who served this country.

Thank you for not only taking the time to read, but put heart into your review. It truly means the world to me.

Thank you once more,

liebedero
