Look at me updating within the month! I did have this chapter ready two weeks ago but it was on paper and I didn't have the energy to type it out. I hope you enjoy this chapter! Only a couple more chapters till the end! My goal is to finish by new year.

Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh. Just the plot.

Yuugi couldn't sit still in the room he was locked up in. There were tear tracks on his cheek and he wanted his brother. He didn't know how long he was in this room but his tummy told him awhile.

Yuugi heard something at the door and looked over. He quickly got up from his seated position and ran towards the corner. Fresh tears began to form in his eyes as he pondered who was at the door. Whoever it was had no trouble opening the door, in fact they went right through the door. Yuugi's eyes went wide as he realized who it was.

It was the Dark Magician! Recognizing the duel monster from his stuffed toy at home Yuugi instantly started crying and ran towards the magician. The magician picked him up in one arm and let out a small smile. Now that he found Yuugi, he needed to find his master. Without a second look to the room, the purple magician left.

The castle started to shake and Dark Magician braced himself. He felt an extraordinary amount of power coming from somewhere within. Yuugi got scared and buried his head in the magician's robes.

It sounded like the Forbidden One was summoned. Which meant they had found his master. The magician quickened his floating and began to weave his way back to where he left Atemu. He doubted the pharaoh came to and he was in danger. He needed to get there as quickly as possible. The kindergartner clung to the magician with his life as the magician went fast towards their destination, he hoped he was taking him to his big brother.

Jou looked desperately in the castle for any signs of his friends. It was eerily too quiet for the tournament finals to be going on. Anzu and Honda were right behind him. The trio was worried and they had a sinking feeling Atemu hadn't made it but they wouldn't believe there gut until they saw him for their own eyes. He should have pinned Atemu to the ground or tied him up. Anything to keep him from leaving the makeshift campground. Jou would never forgive himself if Atemu had died.

"Come on guys! He has to be somewhere around here." Jou exclaimed.

"We should split up" Honda mused

"No we need to stay together. It won't do us any good if we got lost" Anzu piped in

"Anzu is right. Let's stay together." Jou pushed forward as the trio lapsed back into silence. Each person was deep in their own thoughts. They all loved Atemu and hoped he was okay. If something had happened to him they wouldn't be able to forgive themselves.

Seto was not pleased as he faced the forbidden one again. He saw the pharaoh's body on the other side and gritted his teeth. Last time he faced Exodia he had lost. But then again last time he was cocky and did not take any precautions in dueling Atemu. This time he was going to try a new tactic. His Blue Eyes protectively hovered between his master and Exodia.

"Come forth my majestic beasts!" Kaiba yelled as two more blue eyes sprung from the Shadow realm. "Combine together to form Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

The three dragons merged together and with a roar squared off with Exodia

The pharaoh felt Exodia being summoned. He needed to hurry. Though h Exodia was powerful he would not stand long if he faced the seven priests together. Mystical Elf was trying her hardest to heal the teen but he was cast under a powerful spell. Once the person lost the will to live, it would be nothing short a miracle to bring them back to the land of the living. Frustrated at the lack of speed it was taking to heal, the Pharaoh grabbed Atemu's hand and began to transfer some of his life force. The lady elf seemed to have an easier time chanting her spell.

"Come on Atemu, don't give in. Yuugi needs you" P Atemu muttered. "Please don't give in. Your life has meaning and nobody can tell you otherwise."

The Pharaoh began thinking about his own life back in Ancient Egypt. Though it was short he had made many memories with his friends. He had looked forward to what life would bring him and often joked about the future. It was heartbreaking when his life ended short but it was heart wrenching when his priests did not allow him to pass to the afterworld. He had suffered alone in the darkness for what seemed to be an eternity before he met Atemu. At first he thought he was going to live vicariously through Atemu but soon realized the future the child held.

To say that he was furious was an understatement. First of all he never had intended to open the shadow realm and nothing would sway his mind.

"Wait... The shadow realm." The pharaoh dropped Atemu's hand and stood up. He grabbed his millennium puzzle and brought it eye level. The shadow realm. It was something he swore never to touch with a ten foot pole. But that could be the answer to saving Atemu's life and reuniting the brothers.

The Pharaoh looked to his left and stared at the shadows in the graveyard. He extended his arm with his palm up and grabbed Atemu's hand with the other. Wind began to pick up as he beckoned the shadows to come at his will. He concentrated hard to make them bend to his will. The more he commanded, the faster the wind blew. The shadows were clinging to the walls as the wind drew them closer to the man. The eye of wadjet began to glow on his forehead along with the puzzle.

"Come to me!" the pharaoh bellowed into the wind and finally the shadows let go of their grip and danced right into the man's palm. The wind died down almost instantaneously. The shadows resembled a flame and licked his skin with a cool touch.

The Pharaoh stared at the shadow and smiled a little. The shadows around him began to give him strength as they accepted him as there master. The strength began to transfer to Atemu and the change was instant. Atemu's face was regaining color and breath returned to his body. The pharaoh sighed with relief and let go of the teens hand as the elf said the last words to her enchantment.

Atemu's eyes began to flutter open.

Atemu groaned as he began to wake up from what seemed to be an eternal slumber. He could not recall what had happened to him. He opened his eyes to find himself in a casket. He grabbed the edges and bolted up in panic. With wide eyes he stared at his counterpart in shock. Atemu felt like he was staring at a mirror. The man in front of him looked exactly like him. But where he? He did not recognize the place.

"Atemu how do you feel?" His look-a-like asked.

"Um" Atemu quickly evaluated himself, he thought for a moment trying to figure out what had happened to him. Instantly he remembered being shackled to a stone tablet and being told he was a vessel.

"Yuugi!" he exclaimed. Panic took over him.

"Calm down! Yuugi is safe. My magician has him"

"What? Who are you?"

"I am Pharaoh Atemu"

Atemu stared at him like he sprouted two heads. "What?"

"I am the Pharaoh my priests were talking about. I reside in the millennium puzzle and I have been watching over you since you solved it." The Pharaoh was met with more silence as Atemu point blanked stared at him.

"You're the whisper?"

"Yes"

Atemu launched himself at the Pharaoh and enveloped him in a big. The Pharaoh was caught off and stumbled backwards but regained his footing. He felt Atemu's body convulsing in sobs. He wrapped his arms around the teen and began to comfort him. Atemu suffered a lot in his short life and he never had an outlet to express himself. To the Pharaoh, Atemu was son. There were so many times he wanted to reassure him but couldn't. He wasn't going to waste his chance. Atemu's sobs subsided and he pulled away.

"Thank you" Atemu replied while wiping his face. With that small episode the teen felt his stress melt away and he could think straight. He looked around and saw they were in a graveyard. "Where are we?"

"We are in your soul room. It is a miracle I found you. I thought I had lost you."

"My soul room?"

"Yes it is a reflection of your soul. Now that you are back to normal, it should go back to the way it was. Close your eyes and concentrate."

"Okay" Atemu closed his eyes and focused on what his soul room should look like. He felt a strange sensation and opened his eyes.

Indeed his room had changed. It turned into a room filled with books and games. The walls were painted a crimson red and on the floor there was black carpet. It looked like a regular teenage boy's room. Few posters adorned the walls.

"Are you ready to go?" The Pharaoh asked.

"Yes"

The Pharaoh and Atemu headed for the door.
