Fix

by mistsplash

Sometimes, she feels like Sora.

It's so simple to her, but it's so hard for anyone else to see her logic. With that being said, she rarely tries to get others to see her logic, anyways, so it doesn't matter what they think. Still, she hates it when they ask her why she did what she did.

They don't see it. Maybe she's been reading too many romance novels, but she can see it. She can see the way Davis looks at her; she can see the way TK is distant yet close.

There are slight variations, of course. Everything isn't perfect, but it's close enough. TK isn't as distant as Matt was. Davis isn't as close to Kari as Tai was to Sora.

But, in the end, it all comes down to observation.

Kari is like Sora. Davis…he would have to be Tai. TK is, obviously, Matt.

It's all on replay. Kari has seen this episode before. She's seen it before, and this time, she's going to set it right.

TK is incredibly sweet to her, but there's something he's missing. Davis is, as always, an idiot and goofball, but he's looking out for her all the time and he's just…he's Davis.

He's Tai. She's Sora. It fits perfectly.

Kari doesn't regret her decision, not at all, no matter how many questions are thrown at her, no matter how many people tell her that TK was the one. She has Davis, and that's all she needs, because she's just given the scene that one simple fix, the one that could've made her brother happy…if it were real.

Despite her bliss, there are times—dark times, saddening ones—where she wishes that she really is Sora and Davis really is Tai, because then they could have the happiness that she has now.

Author's Notes:

Eh. I have no idea where this came from, but here it is. I thought about making it longer, but it's a drabble, and anyways, if it were longer it'd take out the effect.
