Warning: Vampirism. But that's expected. It's a KuroFai fic, after all.
The way the blond-haired man enters the room tells him enough. They had been in this situation and many similar to it before. The blond-haired man is thirsty, and he doesn't like it. But he comes anyway because he know that one way or another he will fed.
His red eyes peer intently at the blond-haired man, his hand extended toward him and his neck as exposed as it could be. It is an invitation. It is an offering. It is acceptance and willingness and it is a command: Drink.
He takes the hand and presses his lips to the exposed flesh. He can hear the pulse and he can feel its steady beat vibrating through his own chest. Their bodies are close together and the human warmth surrounds him. There is no more hesitance when he parts his lips and licks the flesh. There is no more hesitance when he presses his teeth to the throbbing vein and punctures it. There is no more hesitance when he sucks at the red liquid, coaxing it from its home.
This blood kept both of them alive.
He shivers when the tongue brushes his skin again, closing the wound. He is light-headed now, but it doesn't matter. He can feel the calm breaths against his skin. The drinking is finished and no more blood flows yet neither of them moves.
Unnecessarily, he asks if the drinker has had enough. The answer is a 'yes', and still they remain pressed together.
Finally, he speaks. His voice is soft and muffled against skin, but he is sure it will be heard:
"I still dont like this arrangement."
He whispers his answer into the asker's hair, just above his ear: "I know." Then he adds: "But it's better than the alternative."
He is sure that the other man feels his frown. Just so, he is sure his reply will be caught.
"Even so, I don't like it."
He expected this response. He know that is own is also expected: "It was my decision."
"I know. Thank you."
Author's Note: This is the last of my new posts for November. All creative output will, from now until midnight of November 30, be channeled into NaNoWriMo. And just in case you were wondering, the things written in italic are from Fai's point of view, and the things written normally are from Kurogane's point of view.
