Hello everyone! :D

So, yesterday I read the latest chapter of the manga (which was awesome *-* 3) and aside from the giddiness at the prospect the near future battles and Gaara's awesomeness and show of amazing emotional growth, there was something that baffled me after the proud feeling evaporated a bit... the speech Gaara gave lacked something, or someone, that should have been mentioned... also that chapter was one of THE epic moments for every NarutoGaara fangirl-I just had to write something from it! C:

This is mostly crack-ish and a little bit OOC, also mentions of a crush :P

Disclaimer: I own nothing but what I wrote.

Enjoy!

Gaara's One-track Thoughts

Gaara's epic speech had just ended. Everyone was in high spirits and all those who knew the Kazekage from a somehow close relationship, were positively astonished to realize the drastic chance and growth of the sixteen year-old - no one would have ever thought that psycho kid from the Chunnin Exams-turned-into-invasion able to give such an inspiring speech in front of so many shinobi, and to receive such a massive roar of approval.

Among the ranks, everyone who didn't know Gaara's background story was now wondering just who was this man their commander general had been talking about—obviously it was one of the two Jinchuuriki left, but which one exactly? To have such an impact on someone like the Kazekage wasn't an easy feat...

The huge army was getting ready to set out. Waiting for the preparatives to be completed, Kakashi calmly approached Gaara.

"It was a really great speech, Gaara, well done."

The red-haired kept silent, he didn't seem to have heard the masked man. "FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! I almost slipped up, dammit! In front of all the fucking ARMY!" his mind was running a mile a minute, but luckily nothing showed on the outside-he had regained his blank expression after the passionate speech.

"... Gaara?" the teen finally snapped from his trance to turn his attention on the jounin next to him. "I said, well done out there. You managed to calm and hype up everyone." Kakashi told him, a smile barely visible under the mask.

"Uh... thank you."

"Although..." started the Konoha shinobi, frowning a little, "I think you forgot to mention someone else in your speech. I know Naruto is a very important part of who you are now, but there are two Jinchuuriki to protect, you know that..."

Gaara didn't say anything. "Is it so obvious? But I barely talk about him... right?"

Unaware of his interlocutor's lack of attention, Kakashi went on. "—The host of the Hachibi is here too, and he's the Raikage's brother. It's important to remember that we have two Jinchuuriki on our side, that we need to protect from the enemy... they are the whole reason we formed this alliance, Gaara. It doesn't matter that you've never met Killerbee-san or that he didn't have a earth-shattering impact on your life unlike Naruto... what I'm trying to say is that you should have included at least a reference about the other Jinchuuriki left alive, you know?" Kakashi paused a second before finishing his 'lecture', "Killerbee is just as important as Naruto."

"What was that last thing...?" spoke up Gaara. Kakashi raised an eyebrow, confused.

"Killerbee is important...?"

"No no, after that."

Kakashi's other eyebrow rose as well (even if it was hidden by his itai-ate). "... Naruto...?"

Gaara's eyes lit up. "Yes! Naruto!... I'm so sorry I can't see him before we depart..." he finished, shoulders slumping imperceptibly.

"What the?" thought Kakashi, shocked and exasperated. "Gaara, did you hear a WORD about what I just said about Killerbee?"

"... Who?"
