I'm sort of on a poetry kick right now so that's what's being written, but I hope you guys still enjoy it. Again (I really should just copy and paste) I'm just playing around in GL's world. Credit goes to him.

Brother.

That's what he always called me.

And what I always believed.

There was truth in what he said

Because anyone could see

that when we fought together

it was one body

with two souls

four strong arms swinging

two minds not needing to be told

when to duck or when to lunge

go left or right

forward or back.

We argued almost constantly

another sign that we were close.

The entire Temple knew

that whenever we went at it

entertainment was in store

and that nothing bad would come of it

'cause that's just what brothers do.

Nothing could stand against us.

Apart we were the best

But the Team was what made history

two warriors without contest.

The deepest pain could never break

a bond as strong as ours

nor darkness, black

with hate and jealousy

push between a spark so bright.

I guess it's only fitting

that in order for it to end

for the word 'brother'

to be just a word

it would have to be us instead.

Nothing else could break us

only we could make it happen.

Surprisingly it took just days

for the world to come crumbling down

for the very Force to tremble and break.

He stood up there

confused and hurt

the way I felt as well.

It wasn't only one of us

for both had somehow fell.

Now I was dark and he was light

and that was supposed to matter.

To everyone else

there was no hope

nothing to hang on to.

For a former Jedi and a brand new Sith

couldn't possibly be friends.

But through the fire

and through the burns

through the pain of breaking hearts

our bond had quivered

it had bent

but it had never shattered.

It was dull and dormant

hadn't been touched in years

but as I saw him one last time

his smile brought the tears.

A little smirk on a weathered face,

and even I couldn't help but agree.

Brother wasn't just a word

it wasn't just something that slipped out.

It was what we really were

there were no reasons to doubt.

And so he raised his saber

still smiling without a care

telling me to play it out

and keep our respective roles.

Even as I ran him through

I felt it in the Force

it was laughter growing loud with strength

two brothers sharing a private joke.

I hope you all enjoyed it! Thanks for reading and please review; it would make my day! :)
