Merlin sat by Freya's side in the dim light. They didn't talk, just sat, enjoying the silence and each other. A single candle sat in the corner. Freya finally broke the silence.
"Merlin, I'm scared. I'm scared that someone will see us when we leave and that they will take me again."
"I won't let that happen, Freya. I will never let that happen," spoke Merlin as he turned to look into her eyes. She looked back at him and he felt a tingle go up his spine.
"Freya." Merlin spoke quietly, softly. He moved closer to her, leaning in slowly. He watched her eyes for any signs of regret and stopped inches from her face. Freya closed the gap…and kissed him. ` His lips were soft against hers, asking if this was okay, if he was okay. Do you like this? Freya kissed back. They pulled back to look at each other again. She placed her hands on Merlin's waist, pulling him back into a kiss as Merlin ran his hands through her hair and down her back. He was gentle, this was perfect.
Freya pulled away, looking into his eyes. They both smiled. Kissing again, Merlin laid her back, lips still locked with his. Freya ran her tongue across his lips until he parted them. Her tongue traced his teeth and the roof of his mouth. He kissed her face back to her ear and then down along her jaw line and her neck as she put her head back.
"Freya?"
"Hmm?"
"I love you," whispered Merlin. Freya kissed his face and nipped his ear lobe playfully.
"I love you too," she said and traced her lips over his skin, down to his shoulder, kissing him. He shuttered.
