Summary: Christmas time with the lovely ladies, a B/7 story.
"So…whaddya get me?" B'Elanna asked even as she began to shake one of the several immaculately wrapped gifts.
Seven sighed and took the gift out of her excitable lover's hands. "B'ElannaTorres, do not 'shake check'. It is 'cheating' and therefore unacceptable." Seven carefully placed the red and gold package back under the green lit tree. Right before she adjusted it to be perfectly aligned with the other perfectly wrapped gifts on her side of the tree.
B'Elanna rolled her eyes. "uh-huh, ays the biggest cheat of them all. I saw you shaking miss I have Borg hearing." Reaching under the metal tree B'Elanna grabbed a bulky, misshaped present from the pile she had thrown under her side of the tree, and held it out to her thoroughly amused counterpart. "Don't deny it, resistance is blah blah-merry Christmas."
With one eyebrow resting comfortably by her hairline, Seven accepted the lumpy package and noted that all her gifts had snowmen and icicles on them. Seven purposefully held the gift in front of her, one hand resting at the small of her back until B'Elanna looked fit to explode. Only then did she feel the need to unwrap the paper. "You have given me a box?"
B'Elanna silently counted to ten before answering, "In the box."
Seven nodded and opened the lid revealing red and green tissue paper. "You have given me crumpled, flimsy tree pulp?"
B'Elanna bit her tongue before answering, "In the paper you goof ball."
Seven frowned and looked at the paper before looking back to her partner. "Why further conceal an item when it was already disguised?"
B'Elanna silently glared.
Seven dutifully shut up and began digging through the tissue paper and pulled out a smaller velvet covered box with a ribbon tied haphazardly around it. She took a deep breath but was interrupted.
"Untie the ribbon open the box."
Seven nodded and did as instructed. Inside the box was a flat metal pin about the size of a tangerine. It had a simple jagged design and under it was the name Presba written in Klingon. A family pin to identify a warrior. With a quick nod Seven attached it to her left shoulder. "Thank you B'ElannaTorres, it is most efficient."
B'Elanna took a moment to drop her head into her hands before looking up with a smile. "We may be 'as one' babe, but you drive me nuts. You're welcome, merry Christmas."
Seven smirked slightly, "it is not my fault that you often cannot follow simple logic, and we have already exchanged Christmas greetings as required."
"See that," B'Elanna pointed at Seven even as she reached for another lumpy package, "right there is you driving me nuts. Now cram it and enjoy your presents."
Seven accepted the second gift with a kiss but once again didn't open it. "Do you not want your gifts?"
B'Elanna rolled her eyes. "Not now, I want to see you open yours."
Seven nodded and began to carefully unwrap her second gift. After unpeeling the tape she stopped again. "Are you sure, you seemed adamant 3.25 minutes ago."
B'Elanna glanced at the ceiling as if someone would swoop down and save her before looking at Seven again. "Yup, now hurry up."
Seven carefully removed the wrapping paper and folded it up before stopping again. "B'Elanna?"
The engineer inhaled deeply.
Seven smirked and kissed her on the nose. "You are exceedingly 'cute' and fun to 'tweak'. I believe I love you."
B'Elanna grinned and said, "Oh goody you likes hooting my blood pressure through the roof. Now open you freaking gift." She reached across and pulled a small tuft out of Seven's carefully wrapped hair. "I love you too."
Smile in place Seven pointedly ignored her now errant hair and continued to open her gifts.
