The Accident

Light Yagami, Misa Amane, and L were in Light's room talking. Light and L were still handcuffed together.

"If I die so will you," L spoke to Light with his hands in his pockets. Misa and Light were staring at him and had been listening to what he had been saying. Misa had her hands to her cheeks in surprise and had let out a gasp and Light just had this frown on his face. "…if that happens, Misa is the one who will grieve most of all, either we lose and both die together, or we successfully catch Kira," L said to them before holding out a hand towards Misa. "Which is it?" He questioned her.

Misa threw her left hand up in the air. "We catch Kira!" She answered cheerfully. "I would never dream about living in a world without Light!" Misa exclaimed.

"Yes, that would be dark," L agreed with her. Light got angry and looked at L.

"Cut it out! This is just crazy!" Light shouted.

L slowly turned his head to look at him with no expression on his face. "We're running out of time and I'm starting to get desperate," He told him. He then looked at Misa. "As for Misa Amane, I've turned to her because I know her bravery and love for you is boundless," L told Light as he turned away from them and walked forward a bit with his hands in his pockets.

Misa clasped her hands together under her chin and blushed a little. "Do you really mean it?" She said feeling really happy. "Oh no! I think I totally misunderstood you all this time, I even called you a pervert!" Misa told L with a smile on her face. "But you actually do understand how I feel, don't you?" Misa asked L.

Light had been looking at Misa but now his head turned to look at L, seeing if L would answer the question.

"Yes," L replied to Misa's question. "Misa is indisputably the most perfect and worthy woman for Light,"

Misa jumped up gleefully. "Yay!" She cheered and ran over to L to kiss his cheek. L turned his head to look at her at the last minute and Misa's lips crashed into his lips by accident. She had meant to kiss his cheek!

Misa's eyes widened when she realized what she had done and she quickly jerked away from L, breaking the kiss. She was blushing like crazy and she felt as if she were going to faint. Light just watched this with a surprised look on his face. He didn't know what to say and he didn't know how to feel either.

L brought his hand up to his lips where Misa had kissed him and stared at her. "…I think I've fallen for you…" He told her in a low tone.

Misa finally fainted and Light caught her in his arms before she had hit the ground. Light blinked a few times before speaking.

"Well…that was…strange…" He muttered.
