It was an unusually quiet day in the Titan's common room. There was no music, no sounds effects from some video game, there was no mindless chatter amongst the young heroes. There was no sound to break the awkwardness that hung thick in the air. The cause was no secret. Everyone knew, yet no word was spoken on the subject. The source being a certain green-skinned young man, and his empathic counterpart. Eyes darted from Beast Boy to Raven, who were sitting on opposite sides of the room. Raven gave a small sigh, snapping her book shut. The sound seemed deafening in the quiet room. Raven stood, walking slowly towards the door and into the hallway, trying to escape a silence that was uncomfortable even for her. She didn't get far though, someone had followed her.

"Raven, wait" Beast Boy demanded.

Raven obeyed. She stood perfectly still for a moment before turning to face the young man.

"Yes, Gar?" she asked coolly.

"Can I talk to you?" he asked, taking a step towards her.

"I'm sure you can..." she answered, runing her fingers through her dark hair.

Gar gave a frustrated sigh "May I..." he started before clearing his throat. "Can you, you know, not be difficult for one second?"

She stared at him for a long moment, tension filling the hall. "Fine. What is it?" she asked in her usual monotone.

He gave her a pleading look "Can't we just go back to the way things were?" he asked vaguely.

Raven shook her head "It's too dangerous."

"I wont accept that!" he started bluntly, taking another step in her direction.

"Gar, I..." Raven started to say before she was cut off.

"Nothing's gunna keep me from you. Okay? That demon inside you, your brothers, your father. Nothing." Garfield told her, leaving no room for argument. "I don't care, I love you."

"I know" was her only reply.

"You know?" he asked, a dark green flushing his cheeks. "So... what, do you... not feel the same?" he asked, trying to regain some of that anger that had been driving him before, and failing miserably.

"Well Gar I-"

"Answer the question, Raven" he pushed, instantly taking another step forward.

"I... I do" she replied, looking away quickly.

"Then I don't see what the problem is!" he stated, taking her hand, the gap between them closing.

"It's not that s-simple" she stuttered as he moved her into his arms.

"Sure it is" he stated simply "I love you, you love me" a tiny smile formed across his lips as he spoke.

"It's not that black and white!" she insisted. "It's too-"

Beast Boy cut her off with a kiss. Raven quickly pushed him away.

"It's too dangerous!" she turned, raising her hood.

Beast Boy watched her walk silently down the hall, phasing through the wall at the end and disappearing completely.

"Damnit"

So, my computer totally broke -thumbs up-. Oh well, it gave me time to do some reading. I've been reading the Teen Titans comic books for the past forever now, which led me to write this. I wish bb were this confrontational and brave in the comics. I also wish Raven would just suck it up and admit she loves him. Anyways, my computer is up and running again, so I will be posting many many things soon. Until then, rate and review?
