So, hi… yeah… Team Puck Rules! Unfortunately, I haven't gotten a chance to read books two or three yet… but I read book one, and the whole time I'm wondering if Puck dies. So, anyway, this is set sometime after book one. Sort of an alternate ending… yeah.

-Puck POV-

I was alone, so alone. Just as I had expected, Oberon banished me from his kingdom. Forever. I sat in the room that normally held a door to the Nevernever. That door was closed now. No matter what I did, I couldn't get back. Ever.

I wish Meghan was here. Her parents were kind enough to let me stay in their home, since Meghan went off with…him. Yes, I couldn't believe when Meghan's parents told me she had gone with Ash to the Winter Court. Not only because he had put her in the most danger she's ever been in, but because I thought she loved me. Yes, I admit it: I thought she loved me, and I love her, still.

But nooooooo… she had to fall for Ash. She would, and although I somehow knew it, I tried not to believe it. Ah, well… I have tried not to care, but I can't stop thinking about her.

I was sitting on the bed, feeling sorry for myself, when a figure appeared from out of the closet. For a fleeting moment I thought it was Meghan, but of course it wasn't. However, the person was entirely familiar, and ready to attack.

"What do you want, Ash?" I sighed. He raised an eyebrow. "Well, Robin, I just thought I would do you a little favor, but…" he trailed off, and looked at me expectantly. "No," I said firmly. "No favors."

Ash blinked. "Not even if I helped you get back home, and see Meghan?" Damn. He got me there. I sighed. "What do you want in return?" he opened his mouth to answer, when the door flew open, and in stepped Ethan, Meghan's little brother. The kid took one look at Ash and threw his arms around him. "Ash!" the little kid cried. A look of horror crossed Ash's face, and I burst out laughing. Ash glared at me, and not-so-gently dislodged Ethan from his legs.

I smirked. Ethan looked hurt, so I knelt down next to him, and said, "Look, Ethan. If you go find something else to do, I'll play hide-and-seek with you later, okay?" He nodded sadly, and walked out. It irritated me that he didn't want to leave us alone, but to his credit, this was his room.

Ash made a slight coughing sound, and I turned around, and looked at him innocently. "Oh, you're still here, then? I thought you had gone back home to play with your little girlfriend!" When his eyes shot daggers at me, I shrugged. "Oh well. So what were we talking about again? Oh, right… the deal! Of course! So… what's your offer?" Even though Ash's presence made me nervous, I still enjoyed sparring with him, even verbally.

Ash rolled his eyes at me. "I'll help you get home, and you can see Meghan, but after that, you have to leave us alone. Forever. I don't even want you to talk to her again." He smiled, and I couldn't believe he would charge such a high price for my return. But still… If I could see Meghan, I could explain everything to her. Why I couldn't ever see her again. And I wanted to be home, again, so badly.

I hesitated, and then nodded. "Okay, Winter Prince. Bring me home."

So together we stepped into the closet. I closed my eyes, and took a step forward, through the door. When I opened my eyes, I was in Nevernever.

I was home.
