"Trust me Ace. Once we finally get enough money together, we can finally leave this place and go live in England. Just as we planned when we were kids."
As Whitefang says to the guy he referred to as Ace in the back,As he walked down the stairs to the kitchen area. Business wasn't too bad, but ever since King Marek came into power after his father, King Rothenbacher, business was going downhill for the 6 friends and their shop,"Ye Olde Grease Monkey, cart parts store". No one was willing to buy from them. Add in the fact they were nearly bankrupt meant they had to find a source of income soon otherwise it was back on the streets for the six boys. Once in the kitchen, Whitefang overheard Rev saying.
"Maybe one of the king's servants could find us a job working for the king, he's not a nice guy but I'm sure he'd hire us as servants."
Rev said eagerly, only for Duck to quickly dismiss it with a snort.
"I'd rather work here than with a stuck up royal like King Marek, I mean what could you imagine him paying us, 6 cents an hour?"
Whitefang shook his head with a smirk at Duck before continuing to make the horseshoes at his smithing station. Since the six boys were like brothers and highly inseparable. They looked out for each other and had each others backs, like when they came together after their parents died and opened the blacksmith's they worked and lived in. Whitefang looked at of the window and noticed the street was starting to fill with people as he put on his apron and his leather gloves. With a quick tie of his apron and welding mask at the ready, he called to the guys.
"Opening time guys."
Whitefang shouts to Tech, Rev, Duck, Slam and Ace as they get straight to their work stationswhile Whitefang stood behind the counter as he served the first customer of the day.
Royal Palace
"Your highness, with all do respect to you.Don't you think that your daughters are reaching the age where they should be wed?"
This creep of a man, this is Riley. The king's royal advisor was a short, stick like man with frog's eyes and always wore a suit with fur on the collar. Right now, the advisor was looking out of the window with the king. With a look to the man beside him, Marek had a hard look on his face before sighing then speaking.
"Maybe your right Riley, maybe Alexis, Camilla, Clarissa, Sophie, Sara and Storm are ripe enough to find a good husband, who I may not know, so maybe a visit to Acmetropolis will help them learn culture and help them choose a good husband."
"Yes Sire."
Riley says in a misty sort of of voice. As he bows and exits the throne room leaving the king with his thoughts. As the king stood he revealed he was an average sized man with a greying beard, his kings robes stopped just below his knees, he wore gold plated shoes but his hair was long and grey in a ponytail, that was the only way to best describe him. As he looked out to his kingdom and spoke to himself softly. A thought entered his head.
"Which 6 are really worthy to marry my 6 beautiful daughters?"
Ye Olde Grease Monkey
"Thank you and have a nice day."
Once Whitefang closed the door after an elderly gentleman he'd just seen to, he sighed in relief. With a look at how much money they had made today. Ace pulled out 6 pint glasses from the cupboard and filled them with beer from the nearest barrel they had, as the 6 friends sat round a table to drink, Whitefang proclaimed happily.
"Here's to being friends and making business good again."
As he and the guys put their pint mugs together in cheers and downing their beer in one go, Ace spoke.
"You know, I hear the king has 6 daughters, that means one for each of us, also meaning I'll take the prettiest one, that being Lexi of course."
This caused the argument to ramp up in banter with Slam offering his two cents.
"No way, Camilla is prettier."
"Yeah, for a Tasmanian Devil, Storm is morebeautiful for a coyote."
Tech adds in while laughing along with Whitefang and Rev, before Whitefang turned to Rev and nudged him playfully.
"So who do you like Rev? They have a Runnette sister and she's pretty as well."
This lit up the youngest of the sixes face with a blush at his friends laughter to his situation.
"I'll look into it guys or, maybe the eldest of us here likesPrincess Sophie."
With that Rev had Whitefang there, as he acknowledges it with a laugh before taking a swig of his refilled ale. With a quick glance outside, he noticed a carriage pull up outside the store making Whitefang panic with wide eyes and a spit take, once he got his breath, he shouts.
"GUYS IT'S THE ROYAL CARRIAGE!"
Whitefang quickly runs out to the front door while the other boys quickly clear up. As he goes to open the door, he skids to a halt when he notices that the front door was unlocked all along and only just manages to stop nose to nose with the girl he has a crush on.
"ooo."
Sophie says slowly as she couldn't help but catch how beautiful this lowly blacksmith's eyes brightened in her presence, due to them being blue as the arctic sky. With a gulp to get rid of his nervousness, Whitefang spoke.
"Your majesty, I didn't mean to barge into you."
Whitefang picks himself up just as Sophie tried to help him up. Once at full height, Whitefang was entranced by the young woman in front of him. Her chocolate brown hair just fell effortlessly in light curls making her look beautiful and frame her face perfectly, her green eyes were like emeralds in the moonlight. As Whitefang's eyes travelled over her body, her breasts were the perfect size, she was perfectly curved but she was only medium sized in height but that didn't worry Whitefang whatsoever. Her lips were like delicious red apples which tasted beautiful when they had been picked in the spring. Sophie had noticed Whitefang's eyes were wondering over her but she couldn't help it. she herself was transfixed on Whitefang's well built frame and messy black hair which suited him perfectly. While this exchange was happening, the king walked over to the counter.
"Is there anything I can help you with today your majesty?"
Ace asked the king. As he ordered some polish for his servant to polish the gold hubcaps of the royal coach, Sophie was busy talking to Whitefang. Once the king made his order he summoned his daughter, but since she was in a trance, the king grabbed her arm.
"SOPHIA, COME AT ONCE!"
The king bellowed making his eldest daughter jump out of her skin and her trance and walk away with her father, smiling sweetly at Whitefang on her way out made him sigh contently. Once the king left the establishment, Ace took it upon himself to throw a bucket of water over the wolf, making him jump half a mile, much to Ace's amusement as he spoke.
"Earth calling Whitefang, we need you back here in Acmetropolis. We still have a full day ahead of us."
When Whitefang got his bearings, he had to ask the rabbit.
"Wha..What happened?"
Whitefang manages to stammer out. Ace knew the from the far away look on the wolf's face from one thing. And he pointed it out for the older guy at point blank.
"Your in love buddy, the princess has you lovestruck."
Ace says happily as he pats his friend on the back before walking away upstairs leaving the wolf bewildered as he looked out the window and whispered to himself.
"Will I see the sweet Sophie again?"
Whitefang says with a star like glimmer in his arctic blues as he looks to the skies before getting back to work.
Somewhere
"My liege, if I may, wouldn't it be wise to take advantage of the kings daughters being of age?"
A young fox squire says as he his knelt before a charcoal wolf that is sat on his throne within his palace. With scar running down his right eye from all the wars he fought in, that one scar had significance to him. It was the scar his own twin brother gave to him the day a great evil gave him his power and caused him to be exiled for killing his own father in his rage. Said right eye glared down upon the fox in front of him, making the young squire freeze in fear. Soon right eye was joined by the left yellow eye as the king stood from his throne.
"Send a courier to Acmetropolis, I will personally attend a meeting with this King Marek."
The young squire bowed then walked to find a courier. Whilst this was happening the king rubbed his head in annoyance as he removed the mask. While the mask was removed however, a servant appeared from the shadows.
"What news do you bring me Leviathan?"
The shadow bowed his head before speaking to the king, his voice sounding like he'd just eaten gravel for breakfast.
"Your brother still resides in Acmetropolis, only he doesn't go by his Terranesse name any more my liege."
The king motioned for his closest advisor to continue as the shadow moved towards the throne.
"...The one you call Kai goes by the name Whitefang now, he lives with 6 others in a small shop in the town centre, how shall we proceed my lord?"
With one look towards the sword that once belonged to their father, the king nodded before heading to the doors and saying.
"We find and kill Kai Disenkrall."
With that and the sudden gust of wind blowing out the candles. The doors slammed shut after the king and Leviathan.
