Another fluff for Valentine's Day!
My first 100% absotively AmyxRory fic. I ADORE Rory, and...I accept Amy. As long as Rory loves her, she's redeemable.
They just had a fight, but Rory has a surprise! Reviews welcome!
Amy swept into the bedroom, looking back and forth. She flicked on the light quickly, and noted on a clock several meters away that it was three in the morning. Her gaze shifted to her bed.
There he lay slumbering, his hands curled over her pillow and his lips trembling as he breathed. She crossed her arms; a shadow of the irritation she'd felt moments earlier returning. She couldn't even remember what had happened; only that looking at the stupid idiot made her grit her teeth. He had asked her if she wanted the bed and he would sleep in the console room, but she had icily insisted she wasn't tired yet.
She crossed the room to snatch up her pillow and pushed his hands off; he slept through, of course, offering only a small snore in response. She noticed, however, as something fell from one of his hands, and she reached forward to snatch it up. It was a small box.
Her mouth fell open as she flipped open the little box; it was the necklace she'd admired in a shop on Tareen II. The diamonds luminesced due to some sciencey-thing the Doctor tried to explain, and dark, inlaid crystals seemed to take in that light and glitter inside. She brushed her fingertips across the diamonds in awe.
"Happy Valentine's Day."
Amy looked down to see Rory smiling up at her sleepily; she could not stop a smile breaking out on her face at his. "I totally forgot," she admitted, setting the box down and taking out the necklace. She pushed her hair to the side and clasped the diamonds behind her neck; Rory looked up at her as the light of the necklace shone in his eyes.
Amy turned, jogging to the other side of the room to flick off the light. Her necklace glittered, and Rory shook his head.
"You are beautiful," he whispered as she approached him.
Amy lay down next to him, setting her hands on his shoulders. "I love you," she murmured. "No matter how mad I get. I love you."
"I love you, too."
"Happy Valentine's Day."
