Bulma sat outside and watched as Vegeta taught their son Trunks how to fight properly. She didn't have to worry about Trunks getting hurt when he sparred with his father. Vegeta would never let anything serious happen to him. He may not act like it often, but he does love them. Call it a woman's intuition, but Bulma could tell.

Late that night, when the two were lying in bed simply enjoying the other's presence, Bulma had a thought.

"Vegeta," she said softly, glancing up at him from her resting place on his chest.

"What?" he replied. He really was trying to sleep, and the interruption would've been irritating had it been any other than she. But, for her, he exercised what little patience he had left after the long day.

"I've been thinking," she whispered. "I've just remembered a wish from when I was a little girl."

Vegeta glanced down where her head was pillowed on his sculpted chest and whispered back, "Oh really? What might this wish be?"

Bulma snuggled in a little closer. "I once wished that I would marry a brave prince and that we would live happily ever after."

Vegeta smirked and put his free arm under his head. "Well, I'm not so sure about the happily ever after, what with always having to defend this blasted planet from whatever may try to destroy it, but you most definitely have a brave prince." Even if I am just the prince of a nearly extinct race whose planet was destroyed, he added to himself.

"Yes I do," she kissed his chest. "And not only that, but I also have the most adorable son in the universe who'll grow up big and strong and brave, just like his daddy. Isn't that right?" she grinned.

"Of course," Vegeta's smirk grew a bit. "I won't let Kakarot out-parent the Saiyan Prince."

A/N: I hope Vegeta wasn't too OOC, but I couldn't help the direction it took. Please review! :D
