A/N: Well I'm back! Sorry I haven't been on lately or updating. I've been having writer's block the last time I was on here and homework but I'm alright. Still don't know if I'm going to I'll try to finish my other fic. But unless I could at least get more reviews to continue it I'll consider to write more where I left off ;). So deciding I'd be nice. I wrote a short story on the notes in my IPod and felt like I'd post it here. Enjoy! :]
Understanding.
Carol wiped her teary brown eyes as she watched her baby son sobbing within the arms of her husband. After having the baby, the doctors noticed something about their baby boy. Apparently something had gone wrong during the labor. They said their son was dead. Carol and her husband begged and pleaded for them to save their baby or it was a mistake. After she said that they heard a soft cry. Relief washed over the two couple while the doctors and nurses looked confuse about what just happened but they shrugged it off congratulated them.
She closed her eyes and held both her husband and her beautiful baby boy in a loving embrace as all three cried silently. She looked at her baby in awe. His baby blue eyes looked so wise and innocent, but so pained and unfortunate, as if he knew what was about to occur. He reached out to her and she took his tiny hand and held it to her chest as she began to sing a lullaby.
Her baby's eyes watered even more and tears fell softly down his flushed cheeks. She kissed his forehead briefly and smiled weakly but confidently somehow. She knew that people would be questioning her poor baby for what was going to happen in his future, and wished so much for her boy to be satisfied, but she knew that was usual. It made her irritated, but she kept it calmed during checking for her little baby boy. Her husband, Stuart, handed her the baby and she held him close to her chest and rocked him as she sung. Tears fell silently down her cheeks.
The taunts and terrible things people would do or say to her little boy made her in tears and unhappy; but she believed he is strong and brave. She knew he would handle it. He would be more than likeable. He was adorable, strong and good-hearted. It was impossible not to love the little blond baby in her arms. She smiled happily as the baby wiped a tear from her eyes. He was already accepting her situation over his young age - and it was such indignity he would be hurt so much during his unspeakable and difficult life. She would always be there for him, but only if he'd understand.
The little baby's eyes drifted shut for a few seconds, and fluttered open hastily. How cute he was trying so hard to remain awake for her sake. She lightly stroked his unruly golden locks from his small, lovable face.
He was so small, delicate and fragile within her arms. His soft golden locks settled slightly over his angelic face. His sapphire eyes that matched her husband's perfectly held some emotions already. Her eyes overflowed with unshed tears as she held him feeling like she knew something is going to happen to her son sometime in his life.
Carol handed her son to her husband. Stuart hugged his son and kissed his forehead like his mother had just done and closed his own eyes thinking the same thing his wife was thinking about. He apologized to his son whispering to his little ear as he put him into his crib.
"…I'm sorry Kenny…"
