Prologue

I sit on the roof one night looking up into the stars. My thoughts go back to my husband, Sesshomaru Takahashi and everything we went through in the beginning of our relationship; people shunning us, our names being attacked, becoming outcasts throughout the entire school. Even some of my friends had turned their backs on me when they found out about my relationship with Sesshomaru. All because I'm a ningen and he's a youkai. But I didn't care. I was happy. I was with someone who genuinely cared about me and nothing anyone said would tear that away from me. Would you like to know the story? Then I'll tell you. It all started on the very first day of my senior year three years ago...
