I thought this was a cute idea. I hope it makes you smile! R & R

She had never had a kiss before.

Oh, of course she'd seen kisses and even secretly dreamt of her first, not that she would admit it on pain of death, to anyone.

But in her wildest imaginings, she never thought it would be quite like…this.

Her real first interaction with kisses was seeing her mother and father kiss, and receiving the generous amount of kisses they gave her as a little girl. But no amount of kisses could keep her father from leaving them to travel the world, so she learned rule number one of kissing.

It can't make them stay.

But as time went on, she was still fascinated with kisses, as most little girls are even tomboys such as herself. She was high in a tree, playing hide and go seek with Cheren and Bianca. Bianca pouted.

"This is no fun. We're never able to find her." Then Bianca thought, and beamed at her black haired friend.

"How 'bout, to make it fun, if you can find me in a minute, then I'll play a game of chess with you." Bianca hated chess, but even at a young age the battle of wits enthralled Cheren. "But-" she continued, a devilish gleam in her eyes, "if you can't find me in a minute, you have to give me a kiss!"

"No! Girls have cooties! Gross!"

"But, Cheren," Bianca said, widening her eyes earnestly. "Plus," she added, teasing, "you'll only have to give me a kiss if you beat me…"

The girl was still high in the tree, watching the exchange with wide eyes, enraptured.

"Fine." Cheren sighed. "One, two-"

And Bianca was off, the sound of giggling echoing back to her friends.

As soon as Cheren reached fifty, he yelled out "Ok, the time starts now! No cheating!"

He immediately darted his eyes back and forth. He couldn't lose! Not to Bianca!

He checked behind the shed, the bushes, and the big rock they always played on, but no Bianca. Cheren stopped and thought.

"Time's up!" Cheren jumped.

"Fine," the boy sighed. "But where were you hiding, anyway?"

"Behind the trash can!"

Cheren sighed again, and said, "Ok, I'll give you a kiss, but you can't tell anyone. Pinky promise?"

"Ok!"

And they linked pinkies before Cheren leaned in, and with a blush, grazed his lips across Bianca's.

That's when the girl learned rule two of kissing:

It's worth winning a game of hide and go seek for.

But it wasn't until she had her first kiss that she learned the third rule of kissing. Her first kiss wasn't a typical one, to say the least; it wasn't awkward as much as it was intense, and how many people had their first kiss with the king of an evil organization?

…Probably only her.

She had said goodbye to him, left him to follow his dreams and to follow what remained of hers. But somewhere along her journey, they'd become two halves of one whole, black and white, opposite poles of a magnet.

And you know what they say about opposites.

So it wasn't surprising when they found their way back to one another, it was more like fate. And before long, bottled up feelings all collided, and they were kissing.

So what is the third rule of kissing, you may ask?

It's worth the wait.
