A/N: This is me fulfilling my promise of updating on January 1. This might be shorter than what could be counted as a chapter, but do not think I am slacking off. I have plans for this story. I hope that you all think this is... tolerable. I'm sorry for not being here to finish this 2-3 years ago. I am hoping that I can finish this before January ends because I only have until January 5 to actually finish writing the entire story. But you have all the time in the world to read which means you can read this author's note and listen to me babble. Which will stop in 3...2...1

Prologue

The day your life changes would be as normal as any other day. Contrary to popular belief, nothing makes it stand out. It would start with waking up in your bed feeling tired as usual. And you would bargain with your body clock asking for a few more minutes thinking that it would make a difference. It would not make any difference and when you realize this, you would groggily give up sleeping and get up. You would continue on with your morning routine and eat breakfast with your family. The day would be normal in a way that you would forget the first few hours of it, not even remembering the little details like what you ate or what clothes you were wearing. The day starts to become nothing but a blur. Until the very moment that was supposed to change your life.

For our protagonist, the defining moment would not come until he rests again on his bed. His defining moment happens when he is sleeping soundly at his home. If the boy knew that this day would forever define his life, he would have done something much more memorable than spending his afternoon locked up in his family's library. But life never gives you a heads up when it comes to these things. Everyone knows it, but everyone also has a hard time accepting that. People cannot accept that an unremarkable day would be such an important day in the shaping of their own personality.
