So this is my first story and im not really following the show or the manga, I'm basically just making it up as I go along. so I hope you guys enjoy it. I dont own Naruto and all that crap so here you go.

Haruno Sakura smiled in triumph as she bent down and picked up the herb she had been searching for days for. The feeling was unfamiliar to her. This was it, the legendary herb that only grew once every spring in the vast mountains of the Earth country! The one herb that could revive Lady Tsunade form her coma, so she could become hokage once again and Danzou's terrorizing reign would be over. Wiping the sweat from her brow she retired back to the cheap motel she had been residing in. Once there she sunk straight into bed, and let the rough, coarse sheets embrace her, too caught up in her fatigue to care.

Turning onto her side she stared out of the grimy window, bringing on memories of the day Sasuke had left her on the bench. Sakura clenched her fist, she was no longer that weak little girl any more, and she wouldn't let herself to become weak again!. Two years of war, Tsunade's coma, Kakashi being hunted down like a stray dog, Sia's betrayal and Naruto fleeing from Konoha because Danzou was working with the Akutsuki had hardend her to the young woman she was today. Naruto. Her heart clenched painfully. With most of her friends dead, or been brainwashed by Danzou or those that had left her she felt nothing but bitterness. It had hardened her and she did not regret it.

The road back to Konoha went by surprisingly fast, but every person she past by her heart would soar thinking it may be Naruto. But her heart was stepped on with the realization that it wasn't him. It was never him. She had told him she loved him, but he did not beleive her. Sakura refused to shed tears.

Sakura paused in a small, flowery meadow not too far from the gates of the newly built Konoha (at least Danzou had done something right) with the feeling of being watched. Closing her eyes she used the method that Gai had taught her. Stretching out with her chakra, like tendrils she was able to feel 3 nin hiding in wait in the forest surrounding the meadow. After a while of just standing there and glaring into the forest the nin emerged. At the head of the group was Danzou.

"Haruno Sakura" came were the sickly words that spouted from Danzou's mouth. Sakura flinched. He made her want to hurl. "Hokage" Sakura stated perfectly innocently, her Jade eyed sizing up the two anbu who flanked his sides. Danzou made a gesture to the other two nins and they reached for their swords "You have been accused of treason Sakura Haruno and therefore must be executed" Danzou stated plainly. Sakura recoiled, faking looking shocked "Me? Treason? What have I possibly done to make you think of this?" Danzou scoffed "Many reasons Haruno Sakura. Firstly you are in love with the little Uchiha brat. Perhaps you're feeding information to him. It is well known that he wishes to kill me. Secondly your Genin teacher is Kakashi Hatake, a traitor to this village!" Jade eye's lashed out at Danzou like whips "Kakashi was no traitor! You just wanted him out of the way because he should have been Hokage not a slimy git like you!" Sakura interrupted, inwardly flinching that her foul temper still remained and that she had just added more fuel to the fire. Danzou's aura went very dark, a shadow covered the half of his face with the sharingan "You will not interrupt me again little girl. As I was saying, you are also friends with the Kyubbi boy. A demon!" Danzou spat out. Sakura's jaw clenched. "And finally you went behind my back to get a herb that would revive Tsunade, and with your talents I don't doubt that you would have succeeded, but however I can't allow this to happen. It's a shame really you've blossomed into a beautiful young woman. Such a waste." He said pitifully as he eyed her well developed figure.

Sakura felt sick to her stomach. Danzou gestured to one of the anbu and before she could react, the sword pierced right through her heart, her body fell to the ground with a thud.

Huh! Dundun! Does Sakura really die? You'll have to wait and see!
