Notes: Not an hour after I see the movie, and I've written fic... I knew it was going to eat my brain. More to come I'm sure. Also... wow, I wrote from a female's POV. All mistakes are mine. Feel free to let me know if you see any. As always feedback is appreciated.

Vince had asked Mia how she did it, how she could let her man sleep with someone else, love someone else, why it didn't bother her. So many years ago, she'd told Brian that Dom was like gravity, pulling him in and never letting you go, but she's had it wrong. Brian was the center of everything, from the very beginning. She just hadn't realized it at the time. He was the one that drew everyone to him.

After Letty's death Dom had been broken, but something had happened between Dom and Brian down in Mexico. There was a certain tension, a new awareness there. Brian had come clean the instance he was alone with her. She'd been angry and hurt at first, pissed beyond belief that she'd been stupid enough to trust him with her heart again after what he'd done the first time. But after she'd cooled down she started to put the pieces together.

His heart was so big, he had so much to give that she couldn't tie him down, couldn't let him chain himself to only her. Mia knew that if she asked that he would. He'd respect her wish. She knew it would have destroyed a part of Brian, and she couldn't do that to him. She wasn't that selfish or cruel.

The first time she walked in on them together, was the only time she's seen Dom look so unsure and, dare she say, afraid. She didn't want to ever see that look on her brother's face again. She knew also that Dom would follow her wishes even if it broke his heart. He'd give up his chance at happiness for hers. It should have been weird or awkward, but it wasn't. They were family, a dysfunctional, criminal family with price on their heads, but they loved each other and that's all that mattered.

Vince hadn't understood, hadn't liked it, but he'd accepted it for her sake because he'd never admit that he was as drawn to Brian as they all were. She didn't know where she'd be right now if she hadn't met Brian, but she couldn't imagine that she'd be as happy as she now was.

"Mama!" A small voiced yelled.

Mia turned, a smile on her face and open her arms, swinging her son up to rest on her hip. Seeing the grease stains on his hands, she saw at the all too innocent look both Brian and Dom wore and gave them a mock reproachful look before they all burst out laughing. No, she wouldn't change a thing.
