A/N: I know your probably thinking "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WRITING A ONESHOT WHEN YOU HAVENT FINISHED YOUR OTHER STORY?" well I was bored and lazy so here is yet ANOTHER Robin-centered oneshot.
It was just a normal day at the watch tower, or at least it WAS. Batman had just arrived to be teleported to his next mission, after he left, things got quiet…too quiet.
"Where is everyone?" Wonder Woman asked after noticing the eerie silence.
"Well Batman is helping GL and Hawkgirl with a mission, and everyone else had the day off" the Flash replied.
"We get days off?" Superman asked, he apparently heard the whole conversation.
Suddenly, the Zeta-Beam announced the arrival of an unknown person. Hearing the commotion, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Superman rushed into the room only to find it empty.
"I thought that the Zeta-Beam only worked if one of us authorized it" the man of steel said bewildered.
"Unless someone knew they shouldn't be here, close off the lower levels and search this floor!" Wonder Woman ordered.
As soon as she said that, an eerie laugh rang throughout the room.
"SHOW YOURSELF COWARD!" Wonder Woman roared.
"Ok...just don't hurt me" a shadow said as it fell from the ceiling, everyone was surprised to find a small boy about nine dressed in some sort of costume jump in front of them.
"Who are you? And how did you get here?" Flash was the first one to break the silence.
"Robin, protégé of the Batman" he said proudly and then continued "I got in here by hacking your control panel; you really need more firewalls or something!"
"You hacked our control panel?" Superman asked
"You're partners with Batman?" Wonder Woman bewilderedly questioned.
"Robin like the bird?" Flash off-topically inquired.
"Yes. Yes. And DUH!" Robin replied.
"Why did you come here?" Flash asked the question on everyone's mind.
"Well, Bruce would always tell me he was meeting other superheroes when he left so, I figured I should meet them too!" Robin answered.
It was hard for everyone to believe that Batman would actually AGREE to work with a hyperactive nine year-old, until he explained his story.
"You DO realize that the only reason I am going to tell you this is because one, you already know everything about Bruce and two, Flare over here won't stop bugging me."
"It's FLASH!" everyone snickered at Robin's obvious "mistake".
He began to tell them about the circus and his life before he met Batman, but when he got to the part about his parents, he got choked up and made even Wonder Woman cry.
"-And so now I live with him in the mansion" He concluded while everyone stared in amazement.
"I guess that's where were going now huh batman?" no one had noticed the dark knight walk in.
"Yes." Was all he said as he ushered the boy to the Zeta-Beam.
Right before batman teleported away to Gotham, Wonder Woman whispered just loud enough for Batman to hear "just wait till I show the kid the video I got of him singing the blues"
