All I own is the idea

This story will be told first through Valjean's pov

Then Cossette's

Then Marius

Possibly the kids

From heaven Valjean watched in despair as his daughter water the flowers on the grave of her youngest child with her tears. Cosette's life had been full of highs and lows. She had married her true love the same day he had died. Three years later their union was blessed with a beautiful baby girl. The baby was named Joséphine. When the little girl turned 3 she came down with a horrible illness known as smallpox. She had survived but she developed an infection in her bones. They had to amputate the leg. The young couple were joyful that Joséphine survived but they were sorrowful that her leg had to be taken from her. It took several months for the child to learn to get around without the leg. She finally did manage to move forward with some heavenly help. When Joséphine turned 5 Cossette started feeling sick to her stomach. She discovered weeks later that she was pregnant again. She ended up having twins. They named the boys Sebastien and Garbe.

When the twins were a year and a half Cossette once again became pregnant. It was a horrible pregnancy. She was sick all the time. Towards the end of the pregnancy she was placed on restrictive bed-rest after she had started feeling early labor pains. Félicité made her way into the world on a cold winter's day. She was just as loved as her brothers and sister. They were a close family. There was plenty of laughter. There were some tears. There were good times. There were some bad times. There was hurt. There was rejoicing. Then came the disaster. Félicitén went to sleep one evening and didn't wake up. It was the most painful blow Cossette had ever felt.

Félicitén had gone before her time. She was not ready to leave. Her family was not ready for her to go. Valjean made a decision. This year on his daughter's 28th birthday she would get a remarkable gift.

When Cossette woke up the next morning it was the anniversary of her 28th year on Earth.

"Happy birthday," Marius told her and kissed her.

Morning breath, she thought to herself but didn't say a word. She got ready to start the day. She went out to get her breath of fresh air as was her custom when she saw the box. It was large with several holes poked in it. There was an envelope with the numbers 24601 written on it.

That's strange, she thought to herself

"Marius," she called to him, "Darling do you know anything about this box"

He looked at it.

"It's large," he said, "It has holes in it and there's an envelope attached."

Laughing, Cossette remarked, "I do have eyes you know"

Marius smiled.

"They are beautiful eyes too," he told her.

She grinned. He loved her smile. He grabbed for the note. It read dearest Cossette, do not wait until the end of the day to open this gift. It is one I send you from heaven my darling daughter. Open it right away. I love you. Your father.

He showed her the note. Inside the box was Félicitén. She saw it with her very eyes. But the gift wasn't the only one. Their oldest daughter came walking down the stairs on two legs. She explained that 'grandpa' gave her back her leg.
