A is for Always.

He was always there for her.

To catch her if she fell.

When her powers attacked the tower and she almost fell down the elevator shaft. He grabbed her waist and held her up.

When Slade dropped her over the edge of the building. He grappled in once again to save her.

To defend her when things got rough. Or when nobody seemed to understand. Like when Beastboy got on her nerves, again, and bothered her about eating breakfast.

'She's our friend. What more do we need to know?' he'd said.

Or when they threw her a surprise party and she stormed off.

'I'm willing to try if you'll let me.' he had said.

Or when she knew something was up with Terra the second time she came into their lives.

'Is everything okay.' he put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Or when Beast Boy 'attacked' her in his wolf form.

'Leave her alone!' he yelled trying to protect the young woman in the hospital bed.

As she layed down her head on his chest he realized this all over again. He was always there for her. And he always would be. He had made that promise long ago. And it was one he would keep too.

Forever and Always.
