Chapter 2

I woke up with an extremely sore head. I lifted my hand to feel how bad the bump was. My hand came in contact with something warm. When I pulled back I was shocked to see blood.

"Dammit, that freaking asshole," I muttered.

I sat up and observed my surroundings. I was still in the van. There was a bunch of crap stuck in the back with me. I saw a bucket with shovels sticking out of it. I looked towards the front of the van, and spotted the same strigoi as earlier sitting in the passenger seat. I was surprised to see a human driving. I grew impatient and finally decided to ask where we were going.

"So where exactly are you taking me?" I said in in my usual snarky voice. I received no reply, and I had a feeling this was going to be a long ride.

I decided to see what was happening back at the academy, and boy was I in for a shocker. There were guardians running around all over the place. Lissa was in the lobby of the dhampir living area. I wasn't able to see anything else, because I was brought back to reality by getting hit in the head again. Luckily, I didn't get knocked out again.

"Hey what the hell do you think you're doing?" I yelled. "Shut up and get out of the car," said the strigoi.

I did as he said and I was standing in front of an abandoned warehouse. He grabbed me by the arm and starting pulling me towards the entrance. As soon as we were inside we were met by six other strigoi. I was already getting annoyed being surrounded by all these strigoi.

"Look what you brought home Marcus," said an old looking strigoi. He had this ancient power radiating off of him. I already knew that he was the boss.

"Why would you bring a dhampir here? Is this lovely looking woman a present to me? I mean you did screw up my plans for the night," he hissed.

"I was going to have her for myself, but she said that she has some valuable information that you might be interested in hearing," Marcus hissed back.

"What's your name" I said addressing the boss. "Well little lady my name is Nicolai," he replied.

"So what was it that was so important?" He looked curiously at me.

I smirked at him and said, "Well I was very bored, and I wanted to have a little fun."

He began to grow suspicious. "How do you intend to do that."

Before any of them could react I grabbed the stake hidden in my shirt and staked Nicolai in the heart. That's when all hell broke loose.

The others came charging at me. I dodged and kicked a few times, and they managed to hit me in the stomach, which caused me to land on my butt. I immediately rolled over and jumped back up just in time to avoid another hit. I swiped at one of their legs and jumped on top of him. I immediately staked him. Once I got off of that strigoi, another one came after me. He had blonde hair and was very scrawny. It was obvious that he was a moroi before he was turned. I kicked him in the stomach and punched him on the side of the head. When he wasn't paying attention, I staked him.

There were still three left and they were all surrounding me. One tried sneaking up behind me, but I swung my leg up and around and kicked him in the face when he fell I got on top and staked him. Man these guys were stupid. It was obvious that none of them had any fighting experience before they were turned. One of them managed to pull my hair and throw me against the far wall. I immediately got up and ended up getting punched in the face. He charged at me, but ended up tripping on a broken floor board. I took that as an advantage and pushed him to the ground and staked him. I turned around and came face to face with Marcus.

"Well you are one smart little girl." He said. "Well I am the famous Rose Hathaway," I laughed at the shocked look he gave me, but then it changed to a look of pleasure.

"Well I'll be a legend once I kill the famous Hathaway girl." And then he lunged.

I did a back flip but he managed to grab my foot and slam me to the ground I kicked him in the face and stabbed my stake into his side. He growled and pushed me into the wall. Before I could move, he came up to me and punched me in the stomach. I fell on my knees and he bent down to look me straight in the eyes.

"See you're not as tough as you think you are" he snarled and started leaning his face down towards my neck.

"But you're as stupid as I thought you were," and that's when I staked him.

I slowly got off the ground and looked to make sure that there were no more strigoi. Once I saw that they were all dead I started heading towards the door. It was still dark outside. I wonder what time it was and how long I've been gone. I headed towards the van. I looked to see if the keys were still in the car, and found them in the glove box. I settled in the seat and let the tears come flowing down my face. Today has been a hard and heartbreaking day.

I was absolutely exhausted, but I needed to find a safe place to stay before I could relax. I had no idea where I was at. So I kept on driving and hoped that I would find somewhere soon. I was only driving for about fifteen minutes before I came up on a decent looking motel. I walked into the lobby and up to the lady at the counter.

"Hello welcome to Sunny side motel how may I help you," the receptionist said with a smile on her face.

That smile soon disappeared when she saw how messy and bloody I was.

"Oh for heaven's sake are you ok dear?" She asked with a worried look printed on her face.

"Yeah I just got in an accident, but this isn't my blood so don't worry mam…..ummmmmm…could I have a room please." I said rushing through it.

Her look didn't go away. She was still worried though, but she allowed me to have a room. Luckily, I found some cash in the van, and I used that to pay for the room. She brought me some clean clothes and some towels.

"If you need anything just come and let me know dear." She smiled at me and left.

I wasn't able to sleep due to my nerves. I decided to relax, and slip into Lissa's head to see what was going on.

I had time, so I decided to write another chapter! I hope all of you are enjoying it!
