"Vegeta! Look what I made for father! Do you think he'll like it?" a female voice that belonged to a small child cried out happily.

"How the hell should I know?" the boy known as Vegeta replied with clear annoyance. "I'm busy right now, so go bug someone else, Selena!"

"Okay..." Selena said sadly as she started to head off with her head lowered.

Selena is only three years old while her brother Vegeta is five. Just by looking at them, you can see the resemblance. Yet when it comes to their personalities, they are completely different. Vegeta is rude, arrogant, and not afraid to speak his mind. While Selena on the other hand is kind, caring, and a little shy around others. Despite rarely showing it, Vegeta can be a bit protective over his younger sister, especially when it comes to Frieza and his men.

"Hey, Selena!" Vegeta cried out before his sister was too far away.

"Yes, brother?" Selena answered with a small smile as she turned back to him.

"Make sure you stay away from Frieza, alright?"

"Of course!" Selena said with a small innocent giggle.

Vegeta shook his head at this and started training once again while Selena skipped off to find her father.

She walked down the large hallway and let out a sad sigh when she heard the cruel whispers of the other Saiyan's she would sometimes pass by. "I wish people didn't hate me so much..."

"Well what do you expect? Your not true Saiyan material. You're weak and let other people push you around too easily,"

"Huh?" Selena said surprised, turning around to face her only friend, Urina's, angry face. "Oh, hi Urina!"

"You smile too much, kid." Urina mumbled with a roll of her onyx eyes, walking away and making Selena have to run just to catch up to her.

Urina was the same age as Vegeta and is the only person who doesn't judge Selena because of her half-Saiyan heritage. Before planet Tuffle was destroyed, Vegeta's father fell in love with a beautiful young woman and they ended up having a baby girl. But her mother passed away just as she had given birth to Selena leaving King Vegeta with a broken heart and a daughter.

"Great, here come Frieza's two idiots. The fat and ugly Dodoria and the into himself too much Zarbon," Urina scoffed out, crossing her arms and frowning.

"But I thought you had a crush on Zarbon, Urina?"

"Shut up or do you wanna get punched?!"

"Well look what we have here, Zarbon," Dodoria snickered with an evil grin. "Two little monkey's~"

"Now now, Dodoria," Zarbon said, flipping his green hair back out of his face. "Is that any way to talk to the little princess and her friend?"

"We don't have time for you idiots! Right, Selena?" Urina muttered out, turning to the timid girl.

"Um..."

Urina groaned and grabbed Selena's smaller hand, pulling her away from Zarbon and Dodoria.

"Did we say you could leave?" Dodoria said, walking in front of Urina with a cruel smirk. "We might want to have some fun with you two."

"You lay one hand on us and you'll regret it!" Urina threatened through gritted teeth, backing away slightly.

"I wouldn't touch the princess, Dodoria. Lord Frieza would be very upset with you,"

"Heh, I know the princess is off bounds,"

"You leave her alone, you monster!" Selena exclaimed, moving in front of Urina and giving the ugly alien a fearsome glare even though she was scared.

"Selena..."

"Out of my way, brat!" Dodoria growled out, swatting Selena away and making her hit the wall; the impact causing her to cry out in slight pain.

"That's enough, Dodoria!"

Selena rubbed her head and looked up to see none other than Frieza glaring at both Dodoria and Zarbon.

"L-Lord F-F-Frieza!" Dodoria stuttered out, quickly getting down on his knees. "I didn't see you there!"

Selena saw Urina chuckling softly as she watched Dodoria begging for mercy and couldn't help but smile as she dusted herself off.

"Are you alright, Princess?" Frieza questioned, smiling at her.

"Y-yes, Lord Frieza…" Selena replied back shyly as she stared down at her feet.

"Come on," Urina murmured, grabbing Selena's hand. "You wanted to find your father, right?"

"Um, right!"

Frieza watched as the two girls hurried off before turning to his subordinates with a cold glare. "How many times do I have to tell you imbeciles the girl is off limits!"

"I wasn't messing with her," Zarbon answered back calmly with a yawn. "It was this fat oaf that had the audacity to do so."

"That's a lie!" Dodoria cried out, beads of sweat running down his face. "I was messing with her friend!"

"Will you two shut up with your groveling before someone hears you!"

"Yes, Lord Frieza!" they both complied nervously in unison.

"I've already spoken with King Vegeta and he has given custody of Vegeta and Selena over to me. And knowing the monkey, he'll try to save his precious children tomorrow,"

"So, we are still going through with the plan then, my lord?" Zarbon asked.

"Of course." Frieza said, an evil smirk appearing on his black lips.

"I'm gonna go take a shower since that freak touched me," Urina said with a little wave.

"Alright, I'll see you later!"

Urina ran off down the hall toward her room while Selena entered her fathers chambers.

"Daddy! Look what I made for you!" Selena chirped, holding up a pink piece of paper shaped like a heart.

"That's nice, dear..." King Vegeta said with no interest, sitting in a comfortable looking throne as he gazed out of a large oval window.

"What's the matter, daddy?" she asked as the small girl approached him.

"Oh, its nothing, sweetheart," King Vegeta replied, picking up his young daughter and placing her on his lap. "Where's your brother?"

"Training, as usual."

"I see," he sighed, a slightly sad smile on his rugged features. "There's something I need to tell you both."

Selena turned her attention to the door and saw her brother suddenly enter the room.

"Ah, Vegeta. Please come here for a second,"

Vegeta rolled his eyes and walked over to his father with his arms crossed and a look that told him to hurry up and say what he had to.

"Tomorrow you both will leave with Frieza,"

"What?!" Vegeta yelled out in obvious disbelief.

"Where are we going?" Selena asked curiously.

"Oh, don't you get it! Father doesn't want us any more so he's given us to that lizard!"

"That's not true, Vegeta!" King Vegeta said, furrowing his thick black brows.

"Hmph!" Vegeta huffed, storming off into his room and slamming the large doors shut behind him.

Selena saw a small tear roll down her fathers face and couldn't help but gasp. This was the first time she had ever seen her father shed a tear. It was something most Saiyan's would never do.

"Please don't cry, daddy," Selena said softly, wiping away the small tear. "Vegeta still loves you."

Selena's father smiled halfheartedly at her before embracing his daughter in a firm, but still warm embrace and said, "…I know. I just hope the both of you can someday forgive me for what I have done…."

The next day, all of the Saiyans watched as Selena and Vegeta boarded the spaceship that would take them to their new home. King Vegeta meanwhile was gathering up his best men ready for a showdown with the mighty Frieza.

While on the vessel, Selena and Vegeta sat bored as the ship suddenly began to take orbit, and Selena blinked her lavender eyes, watching Vegeta gathering up energy into his hand to lazily kill a bug that had somehow gotten inside.

A loud explosion sounded off in the distance and Selena stared at her brother with clear worry, yet Vegeta only shrugged and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep.

"Good bye…Daddy..." Selena whispered, curling up into a ball where she sat and soon drifting off into a nightmarish sleep herself.

Twenty Three Years Later...

"Dammit, Selena! Wake up!"

You let out a tired yawn before letting one of your award winning smiles come onto your face when you saw Vegeta standing by your bed, glaring down at you.

"Morning, Vegeta!" you said in groggy, yet still cheerful voice while rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.

"Hurry up and get dressed!" Vegeta muttered, throwing your uniform at you. "Frieza want's to speak with us."

You let out another yawn before finally removing yourself from the comfortable bed, waiting until Vegeta left the room before you undressed.

Your outfit was similar to the one Vegeta and the other Saiyan's once wore. The only difference was that yours was formed into a short white skirt that barely went down to your knees instead of the regular blue jumpsuit that your brother wore; the shirt that you wore under your breast plate the same color as Vegeta's, though, only with long sleeves. On your feet you wore black boots instead of white that went up to your knees.

I really hate being so short you thought as you gazed at yourself in the mirror, only standing at five feet and four inches.

"Are you about done yet, girl!" Vegeta yelled out angrily, stomping his foot impatiently while waiting in front of your door.

"I'm coming!" you yelled back with slight annoyance.

"Finally! How long must you pamper yourself!" Vegeta snorted, shaking his head before heading off.

"I wasn't pampering myself!" you shot back with a frown as you walked beside the dark haired male. "But is it wrong if I do like to look nice occasionally?"

"I swear! I will never understand the female species!"

"You're not supposed to, silly~" you teased with a giggle.

Vegeta glared at you before walking into Frieza's chambers, you remaining close behind him as you had to hold yourself back from gripping onto his arm. These meeting's always left you feeling uneasy.

"Ah Vegeta, Selena. How nice of you to finally join us." Frieza said, his cheek lazily resting in his hand, but his eyes were cold.

You noticed Nappa looking at you with a smirk, a small gulp leaving your lips as you moved closer to Vegeta.

Vegeta seemed to realize and gave Nappa an evil glare that made him turn to face Frieza rather quickly, which in turn made you smile faintly from this.

"Now, what's so important you had to summon us here anyways?" Vegeta demanded, his glare not leaving his face as he turned his attention to Frieza.

"I suggest you wipe that glare off your face when you address Lord Frieza, Vegeta. If you know what's good for you," Zarbon warned with narrowed orbs.

"Never mind, Zarbon," Frieza said with a smirk and dismissive wave of his hand. "Selena!"

"Y-yes, Lord Frieza?" you inquired nervously.

"I have a job for you that requires your...talents."

"A job, sir?"

"Yes," he said with a nod, his smirk growing wider. "I need you to teleport to a planet called earth. I want you to study its inhabitants than report back to me as soon as possible. Understood?"

"Y-yes, Lord Frieza," you said, nodding your head quietly. "Could you please tell me the coordinates of it?"

After he had, you closed your eyes and saw the vast galaxy in your mind, just as if you were right there in the middle of it. All the planets raced past your vision until a large planet filled mainly with water was the only thing you could see.

"I've located the planet, sire," you said while opening your lavender eyes.

"Excellent!" Frieza said with a grin. "Your talents impress me as usual, my dear."

You laughed slightly at this while rubbing at the back of your neck in embarrassment, then turned to Vegeta to hug him. "I'll miss you, brother!"

"Will you stop that!" Vegeta said with a grunt, knocking you away from him with a tint of red on his cheeks.

You just smiled at him and closed your eyes once more.

"Make sure you don't get yourself killed, girl!" you heard Vegeta yell before you vanished.

"Aaaaaaah!" you screamed when you saw that you were about to crash directly into the ocean.

You managed to stop yourself before you hit it and let out a sigh of relief. "This is what I really hate about teleporting to new planets sometimes. I never know where I'm going to end up..."

Regaining your composure, you looked around and couldn't help but smile. "Wow! The airs so fresh here! And the gravity seems much lighter!"

After admiring your surroundings for a few more seconds, you decided to fly around and explore a bit.

"Maybe I can stay here for a while as I do my research?" you pondered to yourself sadly. "I mean, I never really get to have any free time what with all the destroying of the sometimes innocent planets..."

You noticed a small house located on an island not too far ahead and decided to spy on the people who lived there.

"Maybe I should have brought a notebook…" you murmured, a sweat drop running down your head.

A young blue haired woman had just punched an old man out the door of the pink house and was complaining about him being a pervert.

You flipped on your scouter and cocked your head to the side, feeling puzzled. "Hmm...These beings don't seem to be all that powerful. So why do I feel slightly scared?"

A small man soon came out of the house, scratching at his bald head as he made you perk up curiously.

"His power is a lot higher than the others, but not by much,"

You cried out in surprise as you noticed the man was now up in the air with you in a fighting position.

"Who are you?" he demanded, his eyes narrowed.

"Um well..." you said nervously, wondering how in the world you were going to get out of this mess without a fight?
