Disturbed
"Antauri…" Chiro opened the door to his father's room. "I've been meaning to talk to you about something."
"What is it, Chiro?" Antauri asked. The black haired teen walked in and sat on the floor.
"Do you remember when Skeleton King kidnapped all of you except for Gibson and me?"
"Yes. What about it? That was a long time ago."
"Well, while we were looking for you guys, Gibson and I went into this one room and…and…"
"And?" Antauri looked at his son in confusion.
"Inside was all of my stuff from when I was a little kid!" Chiro could've sworn Antauri's jaw nearly dropped.
"He had all of your stuff…from when you were a young child?"
"Yes." Chiro twiddled his thumbs as he recollected the scene he and the blue simian stumbled upon that evening.
The young boy and the blue simian walked through one of the dark halls of the citadel of bone. But Chiro stopped in his tracks as they stepped into one particular room. Inside were toys of almost every shape and size; and in the middle was a mannequin wearing a navy blue outfit. It had blue shorts and a shirt with a red tie. There was also a blue baseball cap and black and white shoes. Chiro stood wide eyed at the scene. It was all his stuff!
"Somehow I don't think the Skeleton King will fit into that!" Gibson pointed at the outfit in the center of the room.
"It isn't his." Chiro replied. "It's mine! All this stuff…from a long time ago…"
"Well that's extremely disturbing!" The blue monkey said.
"Tell me about it."
"So, I've been trying to figure out why he has all my stuff. Is he trying to scare me or…is he related to me? Could he be…my real dad?"
"Chiro…" Antauri said, "Even though it puzzles me as well, I know that Skeleton King is certainly not your father."
"How do you know that?"
"First of all, we lived with him, us monkeys. He was the alchemist, and he had never brought it up when we met him in the dream world. Also, don't you think Skeleton King would've attempted to get you to join him by now by telling you if you were really his son?" The silver simian asked.
"Yeah, I guess…"
"Also, he cannot be your father because he has been alive for a very long time. He created us many years ago, and then we went into that long sleep before you, the chosen one, had found us."
"Yeah. He can't be my father." Chiro sighed with relief.
"How come neither you nor Gibson have ever mentioned this before?" Antauri asked.
"I guess we never really got around to it." Chiro chuckled nervously. "It's a…weird thing to think about."
Antauri nodded and was ready to go back to meditating before Chiro spoke up again.
"Antauri…I'm glad I have you as a father instead of Skeleton King." The silver simian smiled at him.
"And I'm glad to have you as my son." Chiro hugged his dad and left the room to go train.
"Still, why does he have my stuff?" Chiro said to himself.
