The moon sat high on the night sky and its light shone through the windows of the classrooms, illuminating the room just a bit. The vampire teacher droned on and on about the history of vampires. It was nothing that the students hadn't heard about already. Everyone sat at the desks, napping on their arms or doodling in their notebooks. Yuzuki was one of the few who gazed out the window. She watched the dark branches and leaves of trees sway gently with the wind.

Yuzuki noticed that Yuuki has been acting strange lately. Her mind always seemed to be away with the clouds. Yuzuki laid her head on her folded arms and closed her eyes. Strands of dark hair fell across her face. A short nap would be nice to pass some time…

"Everyone is dismissed."

Yuzuki's eyes slowly opened from her nap. She leisurely rose from her sleeping position on the desk and stood up, along with everyone else. She raised her arms above her head to stretch out like a cat. Fingers brushed over her cheek. Yuzuki turned her gaze and saw Kaname smiling softly at her.

He asked, "Did you sleep well, my dear?"

Yuzuki grinned. "Yes!"

Yuzuki slipped her arm through Kaname's awaiting arm and the pair made their way down to the door. Tonight, Yuuki was checking to see if everyone was in class. She was cheerful as she thanked them for their work. Yuzuki smiled at Yuuki's happy disposition. Yuuki's expression, however, suddenly turned blank, as if her mind was elsewhere.

When Yuzuki and Kaname approached, Yuuki noticed them and blinked.

"See you later, Yuuki-chan," Yuzuki said.

"All right," Yuuki slowly said.

Yuuki kept her eyes fixed on the pair as they walked out of the room. From the Headmaster, Yuuki received that news that Kaname and Yuzuki were now engaged. It seemed bizarre to Yuuki. Apparently, it is not that surprising for Pureblood siblings to marry one another; something to do with keeping the family's bloodline pure and untainted. No matter how strange it is, Yuuki was happy for the two. It looked to her that Yuzuki and Kaname were happy together. Yuuki pondered on the possibility of her and Zero being happy together in the future. Yuuki's face turned bright red and shook her head to clear her head.

Yuuki looked around the classroom to see if there were any stragglers. All she saw, however, were blood spatters covering the room. Dark crimson blood dripped from the walls and desks. Yuuki gripped her folder tightly to her chest. A shiver ran down her spine. Her teeth clenched together.

"The scary vampire is…"

She backed up and hit the wall behind her.

"... going to…"

Yuuki closed her eyes tightly in fright and ran out the door.

Because Yuzuki wanted to spend more time with Kaname right after classes, the two decided to stroll around the hallways of the academy.

She leaned her head against Kaname's arm as he tightened his hold on her own arm. The two silently enjoyed each other's company for this brief moment.

Kaname asked, "Have you thought about where you want us to be married?"

Yuzuki hummed in thought. "I want it to be a spring wedding. The Kuran family estate is too out-of-the-way for everyone…"

She suddenly thought of the perfect place. Yuzuki turned her head to look up at Kaname, her eyes bright and excited. "How about the beautiful garden you took me to? The one with the rare roses?"

"We will be married wherever you wish," Kaname said.

She smiled sweetly at him. A pink blush formed on her face as she imagined her own wedding. Kaname cupped her blushing cheek and grinned.

"Are you envisioning our lovely future together?"

Yuzuki chuckled. "Of course!"

Kaname surprised her with a sudden tender kiss. Her eyes fluttered shut as she pressed her lips back against his. He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her against him. He released her lips soon after. Kaname stroked the back of his hand against her cheek. He commented lovingly, "You would make a beautiful bride."

She beamed up at him.

The two Purebloods soon sensed Yuuki's presence not too far from them. Kaname frowned. "Yuuki has been too curious about her past."

Yuzuki wrapped her arms around Kaname. "Anyone would be if his or her past is clouded from them. Please, we cannot allow Yuuki find out yet. I have yet found a solution of bringing just her memories back."

Instead of Yuzuki leaving to the Kuran mansion, Kaname had some relevant books regarding magic from their mother's library brought to Cross Academy for Yuzuki. Yuzuki has spent several days scouring through the books with no promising results.

Letting go of Kaname, Yuzuki began to make her way to Yuuki, feeling the need to check up on her. Kaname followed behind her. As soon as they turned the hallway, the both of them saw Yuuki's frozen frame by the window. The pair silently made their way to her, both worried about her. Yuuki looked down at her hands, terrified. As soon as they were behind Yuuki, Yuzuki began to approach her.

"Yuuki-"

A silver rod shot right past her cheek and through the strands of her hair. Kaname's hand flew right in front of the weapon before it could do any damage. Yuzuki whipped her head back to Kaname. Electricity crackled and buzzed against Kaname's hand. Yuzuki practically tackled him to force him away from the silver rod.

Yuzuki fretted over him, "Nii-sama, are you all right?!"

Yuuki stood there frozen, wide-eyed and shocked and terrified. Her voice seemed to have gotten stuck in her throat. What did she just do? Did she really attacked Yuzuki and Kaname with Artemis Rod?

Yuzuki turned over to look at Yuuki, after Kaname reassured her that he was fine. Yuzuki flashed over and held Yuuki's face in her hands. She asked worriedly, "What is wrong, Yuuki? What made you attack us?"

Yuuki stuttered. Nothing coherent formed from her mouth. Instead, her breathing was uneven and ragged.

Yuzuki pressed further. "What has frightened you so?"

Again, Yuuki didn't respond. Yuzuki stepped forward and locked Yuuki in a tight embrace. The warmth from Yuzuki's hug slowly calmed Yuuki down. Yuuki's breathing evened out and her arms dropped down to her sides. Yuuki slumped into Yuzuki, bringing them down to their knees on the floor.

Yuuki whispered repeatedly, "I'm sorry… I'm sorry."

Yuzuki rubbed Yuuki's head and reassured her, "It is all right. No one is hurt."

Yuuki frantically thought in her head, "How could I point my weapon at them?"

Kaname knelt down by their sides. His voice caught Yuuki's attention. "Yuuki, what was it that you could not talk about in front of others?"

Yuuki leaned back from Yuzuki. Yuuki looked at Yuzuki questioningly before looking back at Kaname.

"Whatever you need to ask of me, you can say it in front of Yuzuki."

Yuuki confronted him, "So Yuzuki-chan has something to do with my past also?"

His and Yuzuki's silence confirmed her suspicions. She said aloud, "I had a feeling… that somehow Yuzuki had a part in the mystery of my past. I could feel this was true deep within my heart."

Yuzuki gently told Yuuki, "Whatever you ask of us, we will not stop caring for you, Yuuki-chan."

Yuuki seemed to clam up. She couldn't seem to find any words. Her questions, questions that she has wondered for so long, were stuck in her throat. There was nothing she could say or do.

Kaname laid on his sofa with Yuzuki comfortably laying against his side. Yuzuki was dozing off when she sensed Kaname leaving the couch. Knowing that he would return to her soon, Yuzuki continued going into the land of dreams.

Yuzuki was soon awoken by Kaname's presence entering the room, but his presence was accompanied by another. Yuzuki lazily sat up as Kaname approached the couch she was on.

"Come in. Make yourself at home," Kaname said to the person.

Yuzuki looked around Kaname and saw Zero entering the room. There was only one moment of silence after the door closed before Zero confronted Kaname, "Are you the one who erased Yuuki's memories or not? Are you involved in Yuuki's past or not? Do you want to ease Yuuki's anxiety or not?"

Kaname glanced at Zero with a hard and dangerous look. In a flash, Kaname had his hand around Zero's neck, pushing Zero against the wall. But Zero had his Bloody Rose pointed at Kaname's head. Yuzuki immediately released her Piercing Rose bow and arrow from its unreleased state. Her usually soft gaze hardened in the face of impending danger against her beloved.

"Kiryu-san, I must ask you to lower your gun," Yuzuki demanded.

"Do not worry,Yuzuki," Kaname assured her. "He will not dare fire his Bloody Rose. Please, my dear, retract your Piercing Rose."

Yuzuki only lowered her weapon, her eyes still trained on the gun held by Zero. Kaname's attention re-focused back on Zero.

"You amaze me," Kaname commented as he leaned closer to Zero. "Vampires instinctively fear and respect Purebloods. Yet you dare to bare your fangs at me. I really dislike you."

At his last word, Kaname drove Zero through the wall. Yuzuki gasped. She could smell the blood from the both of them. Kaname had Zero pressed down against the white bathtub. Kaname matter-of-factly said, "You have no intention of killing me."

Zero had not even faltered. "If I killed you before I got the truth out of you, Yuuki would be so sad.

Yuzuki, turning her weapon back into a bracelet, rushed to the whole in the wall and examined what was going on. "Are you all right? You are bleeding…"

Unfortunately, Kaname was too occupied with the moment. He saw the way Zero's eyes glowed red as Kaname's blood dripped onto his cheek. Kaname noted, "The body is so obedient, It saw blood and now, your eyes are crying out for it."

Kaname's eyes hardened. "I can smell Yuuki on you. You are an ungrateful Level E."

Kaname moved his hand from Zero's neck to his chest. His fingers dug into Zero's chest and swiftly scraped out to the side. Zero's gasped at the pain. Blood splattered on the ceramic floor beside them. Kaname calmly stood up, his eyes never leaving Zero.

"If you lose that much blood, you would not be able to resist the hunger."

Yuzuki bit down on her bottom lip; she knew what Kaname's objective was and she didn't like it at all. Kaname grabbed the wrist holding Bloody Rose and knelt down in front of Zero.

"Feed on my blood again."

Zero was stunned. "Do you think that in my right mind, I would accept blood from you?"

"I cannot allow you to drop dead here," Kaname responded. "I have allowed to live until now, so that you can be useful to Yuuki because your feelings for her would never allow you to betray her."

"You're always so arbitrary."

"I know. Your feelings for Yuuki are not what I would approve of, but… Yuuki wants you around her."

"I-I just want Yuuki to be able to smile from her heart," Zero said, looking down and closing his eyes..

"So do we," Yuzuki added, leaning against the wall.

Zero continued, "There's no need for her to sacrifice herself… none at all."

"You are absolutely right," Kaname said.

Zero's breathing quickly turned ragged. He grasped Kaname's silk black shirt and leaned up to bite down on Kaname's turned to look away; her hands tightened into fists at her side. The enticing scent of Kaname's blood filled the room. Yuzuki stiffened and her eyes turned to a shining red.

Kaname whispered forcefully, "Never forget for whom this blood was offered."

Yuzuki and Kaname waited by a water fountain that was along a path in the woods. Kaname had said that Yuuki would be coming soon. The water fountain was a place that Yuuki had found solace before so he believed that Yuuki would come.

Soon enough, Yuuki came running down the path. Kaname called out to her, "Yuuki. We've been waiting for you."

Yuuki's eye became firm with determination. She walked calmly toward the engaged pair. She demanded, "Please tell me the truth. I brought up whatever courage I had to ask you, so please I beg of you, tell me."

"Regardless of the answer, I will still care about you two," Yuuki calmly continued. "Although I still don't know what part Yuzuki-chan has in this… Kaname-senpai, you have something to do with the past I lost, don't you?"

Kaname stared at Yuuki for a moment before breathing out heavily. Yuuki frantically ran up to him and grabbed his uniform jacket.

"Is it true?! Then why don't you tell me?! Please tell me the truth! I cannot stay like this! I want to know and become strong! Please!"

Seeing Yuuki's desperation for the answer, Yuzuki's heart tightened. Her eyes glistened over with unshed tears. She watched Kaname lay a hand on Yuuki's head.

"You are silly," Kaname tiredly said. "You should stay in this miniature garden and be happy even if for a little longer."

He asked, "Are you sure? Even if the hidden truth is covered in bloodshed? Do you still wish to know?"

"Yes."

Kaname hesitated to continue, so Yuzuki continued for him. "We are afraid. Afraid of the contingency that you might come to hate us."

Yuuki's face scrunched up into confusion. "Hate? Why would it come to that? What could possibly have happened that I might hate you guys?"

"If you knew what happened," Yuzuki joylessly answered. "You might never forgive us for ruining whatever happiness you have in your world."

Yuuki hugged Yuzuki tightly. "No… I would never hate you."

Yuzuki's unshed tears trickled down her cheeks mutely. Yuzuki hugged Yuuki back with the same force. Yuzuki leaned away and held Yuuki by her shoulders. Yuzuki's reddish brown eyes stared deep into Yuuki's brown fringed with red eyes.

Yuzuki declared, "I will tell you about your past."

Yuuki's eyes widened and her lips parted in a gasp. Yuzuki cupped Yuuki's cheek with a hand.

"You must allow me a little more time. Please,Yuuki-chan," Yuzuki pleaded.

Yuzuki still has not found a solution to bring back Yuuki's memories without turning her into a vampire. There were still many books from the Kuran mansion that Yuzuki has not inspected yet.

Feeling shocked over the whole situation, Yuuki nodded. Yuuki begged, "Please, don't let me wait for so long. I need to know."

A rustle from the bushes diverted their attention. Zero silently appeared between the trees of the woods. He paused for a moment before he said in a low voice, "Yuuki, patrol."

Yuuki slowly removed herself from Yuzuki's arms. Her big brown eyes focused on Yuzuki and Kaname. She whispered a 'please' before disappearing among the trees with Zero.

A few minutes passed before Yuzuki turned around to face Kaname, who was gazing at her already. Wordlessly, Yuzuki found peace in Kaname's strong arms. She closed her eyes. She breathed, "As I am her twin, she will find only the answers from me. Allow me to do that."

Yuzuki felt Kaname nod against the top of her head. Yuzuki tightened her hold on Kaname. It seems like she had a lot of studying to do over the next few days.

That night, Yuzuki scanned meticulously through books and manuals and tomes. Her bedroom floor was cluttered by discarded books that she concluded were useless. Her anxiety ate at her. What was going to happen if she did not find a solution? Would Yuzuki and Kaname have to turn Yuuki into a vampire? Was she willing to take Yuuki away from her Zero and her adopted father? Could even Yuuki dare to give up her happiness?

I apologize for not updating sooner! There were suddenly a lot of people just favorite-ing and subscribing to the story even though I haven't updated, which made me so happy. That inspired me to write this chapter. I apologize for making this chapter a bit short. I think the next episode/chapter will be better! Kaname and Yuzuki will go on a date (won't be a one-shot or filler)! YAY!

This was a pretty hard chapter to write since I follow the anime pretty exact. This episode was when Kaname declared his love for Yuuki and asked her to be his lover. UUHHH NO. Not gonna happen. Kaname x Yuzuki (KaZuki) 4ever! I had to re-vamp (lol) this whole episode to fit the romance plot in this fanfiction. This killed me, but I got through it so the rest should be easy sailing~

Thank you so much to everyone who has been following this story for a long time now and for those who recently followed/favorited this story. :) Please don't mind the grammar and weird mistakes! I've been so tired...
